The Canadian National Newspaper: Israel launches war against Lebanon based upon Disinformation

Having consulted foreign correspondents and reliable independent editorial sources, it appears that Israel has launched a war against Lebanon, under the cover of dissembled media reports. These independent sources include the U.S.-based Associated Press. The Canadian National Newspaper originally reported that Israel's launched war was a reactionary response to Hezbollah venturing into Israel, and kidnapping Israeli soldiers. However, it is apparent that members of the Israeli army were captured well inside Lebanon.

Hezbollah has demanded for years now the release of prisoners held by Israel, such as Samir el Kantar, imprisoned since 1978, Nassim Nisr and Yahia Skaff, imprisoned since 1982. On innumerable occasions Hezbollah made it known that, in turn, it would not hesitate to capture Israeli soldiers- if they enter Lebanon -- and to use them as bargaining counters.

It is also well reported by critically acclaimed journalists like the New Yorker's Seymour Hirsch, that neo-conservative leadership in the U.S. President Bush administration and among Israel's elites, support some pretext for launching a military attack against Iran. It is also well known that Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Government of Iran are allies.

Knowing this, independent reports verify that neo-conservative leadership in the Israeli government sent a military commando unit into Lebanese territory around Aita al Chaab in the morning of July 12, 2006. Hezbollah responded to this Israeli neo-conservative provocation by attacking the unit and, and apprehending two prisoners. It is apparent that the Israeli government sent Israeli soldiers into Lebanon, in effect as 'baits', in an environment which has experienced a long history of Israeli raids, where countless amount of Lebanese civilians had been already been killed and displaced.

It is apparent that the newspapers and other media organizations which support the Israeli government's representation of a "kidnapping" of Israeli soldiers in Israel, are all controlled by neo-conservatives interests. In Canada, for example, CanWest Global, has provided a leading role in spreading neo-conservative propaganda on Israel's war, and other neo-conservative dissembling. The owners of CanWest Global control a vast array of media outlets from Global Television to the National Post, and local newspapers like the Ottawa Citizen, and the Montreal Gazette, are also substantial donors to Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Conservative Party of Canada. Similarly the owners of Fox News in the United States, have also been well-known financial backers to the U.S. Republican Party, and related causes.

Other media not controlled by a neo-conservative clique, have picked up information on Israel's apparent "war of aggression", based upon a well-financed and coordinated neo-conservative mass-media propaganda system.

MSNBC online reporters also first reported that Hezbollah had captured Israeli soldiers "inside" Lebanon, only to change their story, under the apparent pressure of neo-conservative pressure groups.

The fact that it appears that the Israeli government has not been able to recover military properties that comprised of an alleged provocation by Hezbollah in Israeli territory, further confirms that that these military properties were in fact lost in Hezbollah-patrolled Lebanese territory.

The livelihood of hundreds of thousands of civilians in both Lebanon and Israel could have been spared if Israel acted in the spirit of Judaism and international law by going to the United Nations, and protesting the so-called "kidnapping" of its soldiers, allegedly in Israel. However, that would have necessitated an investigation of the United Nations, that would have been damaging if it was revealed that Israel made an illegal provocation.

However, before independent observers could organize an investigation of the incident, Israel had already mounted a grisly offensive against Lebanese civilians, and Lebanese infrastructure, that in the process, has created a horrific oil slick in the Mediterranean; destroying Beirut's international airport, along with numerous highways and communication portals.

As with the United States' illegitimate invasion of Iraq, on the pretext of fabricated weapons of mass-destruction. Israel just needed the proper media cover to wage a war, under the similarly executed fabrication of Hezbollah's supposed "Act of War".

Indeed this apparent latest violation of international law, that has been responsible for killing civilians in both Lebanon and Israeli is an apparent "Crime Against Humanity", which could be viewed to be a cynical attempt to draw Iranian involvement into the war, in order to legitimate reported plans for nuclear strikes against Iran, and to secure a sought neo-conservative "puppet government" like that of Iraq. Like a serial criminal, the U.S pre-emptive strike against Iraq, and the apparent Israeli pre-emptive strike against Lebanon express, the same serially executed 'hideous intelligence' that appears to be at work, and that does not care about humanity or about the environment.

It was Leo Strauss who founded the modern U.S/Israeli neo-conservative movement which viewed the importance of creating myths in society, under a "wise" elite which has been directly modelled by Adolf Hitler's similar use of myths, framed within what may be referred to as the "Big Lie".

It is apparent that Israel's neo-conservative professings of "Acts of War" by Hezbollah are myths designed to enrage Jews, Americans, and others, on the need to defeat a "common enemy". Hitler used such myths, to unify Germans, under his Nazi ideology. The self-presentation of Israeli elites as 'Jews' defending a Jewish state, and U.S. President Bush led neo-conservatives as "Christians" are also apparent "Big Lies". Indeed, Hilter's government, became famous for insincerely "talking peace" like Condelezza Rice in the Bush administration, while planning and waging war.

Israel's on-going breaches of Jewish and international law have created a culture of retaliation and violence

If the Israeli government were in fact, substantively led by the ethical and religious foundation that were conveyed to Jews, these elites would not have violated countless United Nations resolutions.

John Dugard, United Nations affiliated Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied by Israel since 1967, said that he had visited the occupied Palestinian territory in mid-June, shortly before the present crisis erupted, and he remarked on the on-going oppressive human rights situation perpetrated by Israeli neo-conservatives. In Gaza; people were without water, food was scarce and medicines were running out. Operation "Summer Rains", as Israel had cynically labelled its siege of Gaza, offended the prohibition on collective punishment. It likewise violated the prohibition on "measures of intimidation and terrorism" contained in Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, while the arrest of Hamas Cabinet ministers and legislators seemed to constitute the "taking of hostages" prohibited in Article 34. United Nations observers have cited actions by Israeli elites in the Middle East as 'war crimes', and violation under international human rights law.

Furthermore, both the West Bank and Gaza were impoverished as a result of Israel's unlawful withholding of Palestinian tax revenues and the Quartet's decision to withhold aid. Since 1994 the occupied Palestinian territory had become heavily dependent on foreign aid. Consequently, the withholding of aid, coupled with the prohibition on the transfer of money to the Palestinian Authority, its agencies and projects, imposed by the United States-controlled international banking system, had in effect amounted to economic sanctions.

Israel elites' violations of United Nations Resolutions, include a refusal to comply with the 2004 Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice. The Quartet had taken no action against Israel and had failed to even remind Israel of its obligations under the Advisory Opinion. But now it had, in effect, imposed economic sanctions - not only on the Palestinian Authority, but on the Palestinian people.

Such provocative acts by Israel's governments, do not appear to be calculated to support conditions for peace in the Middle East.

An Israeli pre-emptive strike against Lebanon, would be consistent with a 'criminal profile' under international law, which Israeli elites have perpetrated, under the fabricated covers of "self defence".

The conditions for the perpetuation of Hezbollah and Hamas have been created by an apparent co-sponsored U.S. and Israeli elite cynical agenda, aimed at supporting an agenda of sought power through oppression and conquest associated with a political-military-industrial complex. This complex within Israel compels Israeli citizens to compulsory military service by perpetuating a "common enemy", by maintaining a polarized climate of enmity. If Israel declared peace as Ariel Sharon had envisioned, before the take-over by the current Israeli elite group, had respected Jewish and international law, and had viewed Jews and Muslims, and Palestinians and Lebanese, and other peoples in the Middle East, as the 'brothers' and 'sisters' that they are, the maintaining and growth of a commercially profitable political-military-industrial complex would lose its legitimacy, in favour of a political economy of human rights, peace, and social justice.

Jews have an ethical obligation, inspired by Jewish law, and the Torah, to work toward an envisioned era of "World Peace".

It is imperative that Jews, with other peoples inspired by human rights, peace, and social justice, come together to take back our planet from a course of self-destruction under a commercially profitable, and megalomaniacal agenda of self-absorbed power and conquest. The alternative is to sit back and wait to be destroyed under the step-by-step process toward World War III, into which neo-conservative elites appear to be taking Israel, the Middle East, the United States, and the rest of the world including Canada.

The dynamics of the political-military-industrial complex

In the apparent view of the elites who preside over a linked U.S.-Israeli political-military-industrial complex, the greater the state of "controlled anarchy", the more various groups, 'factions', and individuals will reply upon 'weaponry', in order to protect themselves from each other. A political-military-industrial complex also acquires territory and "resources", including "human capital", from its executed military conquests. The politicial-military-industrial complex seeks to commercially profit from the sale of weaponry, and acquired resources in territorial domains. The apparent unethical and barbaric war waged against Lebanon which violates international law therefore represents another opportunity for commercial profit, and sought power by a political-industrial-military complex.

Stephen Harper has further exposed himself as a 'Quisling' in matters relating to the apparent criminal invasion of Lebanon by Israel. He relies on mass-media organizations led by ultra-right wing CanWest Global media outlets to spin stories in favour of the Conservative Party in Canada, which in turn follows the agenda of U.S. President George Bush. 'Quisling' is A word Norwegians are not very proud of having given to the world: it derives from Vidkun Quisling (1887-1945), a Norwegian political leader who collaborated with the Nazis during World War II. He established his name as a synonym for "traitor", someone who collaborates with the invaders of his country, especially by serving as the head of a puppet government. In the process of similarly behaving, Mr. Harper has further disgraced the legacy of former Prime Minister and Noble Peace Prize Winner Lester B. Pearson, who championed Canada as a socially progressive society which inspires peace in the world. Arguably, the greatest challenge for humanity will be to reclaim the human spirit from the types of outcomes that arise out of the apparent agenda of mass-deception, oppression, exploitation, and venal power, that Mr. Harper's government supports in his right wing and sovereignty-surrendering policies.
