The Bush Doctrine in Iraq and Afghanistan violates Biblical Covenant

"Pretenders" who apparently subvert the integrity of the messages of Jesus, in association with other world religions now "eye" Iran for the execution of their mis-deeds

by Pastor John, International Affairs columnist

  Iraq

-- And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. (Book of Daniel 11:31)

The idea of pre-emptive war is a categorical violation of the overall spirit of the Bible. Indeed, the Bible specifically proselytizes peace, and specifically states to "Love your enemy". The Book of St. Luke (6:35) stipulates to "[L]ove ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

The Bible also expresses that, "And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also" (Book of Matthew 5:40) "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you" (Book of Matthew 5: 44). Any group that preaches and executes pre-emptive war could be viewed to have broken a Biblical Covenant. Having broken that Biblical Covenant, any group which still presents itself as disciples of Jesus in any way could further be viewed to be comprised of hypocrites and a "pretenders". Meanwhile, the Bible expresses, "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another" (Book of John 13:35).

Iraq anti-war protest

-- And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. (Book of Daniel 11:33

The peoples of Iraq, the Middle East in general, (including Afghanistan), and the American people, in the context of Biblical Covenant are all "children of G-d', in the apparent representation of the Bible, and who are no greater or lesser to each other. If G-d created the Universe, the Heavens, the Earth including all creatures, then G-d is in everything and everyone. Anyone or group who therefore makes pre-emptive war, also accordingly, could be viewed to declare war on G-d.

-- Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land. (Book of Daniel 11:28)

In contrast with the Bush Doctrine, the Bible embraces the expression of love for another through deeds, as being spiritually vital. "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of G-d; and every one that loveth is born of G-d, and knoweth G-d. (Book of John, I. 4:7) He that loveth not knoweth not G-d; for G-d is love. (Book of John, I. 4:8) And this commandment have we from Him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. (Book of John, I. 4:21)

The pre-emptive war against Iraq, under the justification of the "Bush Doctrine", that has already destroyed over 250,000 lives, created bodily injuries, health maladies, and great sorrow for millions of other "children of G-d" in Iraq, and it has also ruined the environment with carcinogenic radiation. Therefore, it has defiled G-d, in the extent to which the Bible recognizes the Earth as having been created by G-d.

The Bible expresses that, "The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, [and] broken the everlasting covenant" that is associated with the affirmation of lovingkindness, social justice, and peace in the world, which Biblical wisdoms, as other such wisdoms associated with world religions, seek to nurture. (Book of the Prophet Isiah 24:5).

Where is the Christianity to be found in the Bush Doctrine?

Bush Doctrine

-- And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (Book of St. Matthew 24:14)

Is the Bush Doctrine manifesting peace in the Middle East? Is it making Americans, and the rest of the world feel more secure; or does it seem to be used to justify the taking away of basic human rights? Has the Bush Doctrine helped provide more healthcare to millions of Americans, or does it appear to be used to divert vitally needed public funding for healthcare, into an apparent military-industrial-political complex? Hast the Bush Doctrine helped support the eradication of poverty in America, and the rest of the world, that is inspired by the teachings of Jesus? Or, has the Bush Doctrine, in contrast, become a mechanism for already privileged groups to become commercially much richer, as a result of their association with an apparent military-industrial-political complex? Has the Bush Doctrine inspired American military capabilities to prevent genocide in Darfur, in which hundreds of thousands of people have already been killed simply because of their ethno-racial background, and religious affiliation, and elsewhere? Or, has the Bush Doctrine ignored human cries in Darfur, and elsewhere, and is instead being used to support a well-reported apparent agenda of the pursuit of oil resources, which has politically marginalized the surrounding chaos, human suffering, and loss of life? Indeed, where is the Christianity in the Bush Doctrine that is beyond a cynical political pulpit?

A War on Terrorism that totally ignores Global Warming: The looming unparalleled Crime Against Humanity

  Army against the poor

He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he... the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. (Book of Pslams 10:8)

He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones. (Book of Psalms 10:18)

The Stephen Harper minority government in Canada has indicated that it would not seek to uphold the Kyoto Protocol that was developed as a mechanism to limit Global Warming. Prime Minister Stephen Harper who at the same time calls himself a devout Christian, shows himself to be acting in a manner that is consistent with the historical phenomena of "Pretenders". Mr. Harper's government pursues participation in a 'War in Afghanistan' under the Bush Doctrine, that not only apparently violates Biblical Covenant, but which is also manifesting into an unparalleled "Crime Against Humanity" as Global Warming is ignored.

The ignoring of Global Warming in favour of apparent "Oil Wars" in the Middle East, threatens the survival of literally billions of people, and also a plethora of living creatures (including notably, Polar Bears), with extinction. In the Bible, G-d created all living creatures, including humankind, and Polar Bears, and humankind bears the Biblical Covenant to use sentience to safeguard all living creatures. The ignoring of Global Warming by professed devout Christians in the Stephen Harper minority government, is not only an apparent breach in Biblical Covenant, but it also constitutes a looming unparallel 'Crime Against Humanity', in international law. The Bush Doctrine that manifests a context for perpetual war, for sought perpetuated commercial profit in a military-industrial-political complex, is a recipe for the pursuit of a holocaust on a catastrophic planetary scale.

The Bush Doctrine which is apparently supported by Stephen Harper, promises a totally destroyed environment as a result of commercial over-exploitation, and toxification from conventional, nuclear, biological, and chemical weaponry. The outcome will be ensuing diseases, famine, and never ending wars for resources between pro and anti American neo-fascists groups that are seeking seeking retribution against one another.

The Bush Doctrine, if left unchecked by an appeal to human wisdom, promises to turn a once Paradise of flourishing ecosystems with living creatures, into a planet that will increasingly resemble the surface of Mars.

An apparent breach of Biblical Covenant

The execution of Wars in the Middle East under the Bush Doctrine, could be viewed as more than a grave injustice against Muslim and other peoples in the Middle East, (in association with all of humanity, who are all "children of G-d', in the apparent expression of the Bible) Members of a group who exalt the Bible, as self-professed "Christians" while executing pre-emptive war that destroys innocent lives, and that defiles the environment; followed by a military occupation that inflicts oppression against a sovereign people who are all "children of G-d", is furthermore a great mischief against apparent Biblical Covenant.

The implications of the "Supremacy of G-d" expressed in the Canadian Constitution

In the prevailing Canadian context, the Constitutional Act 1982, specifically affirms the 'Supremacy of G-d'. Messages of peace in association with lovingkindness, and social justice that is against oppression and that is consistent with world religions that revere G-d in their scriptures. If that is the case, then Canada's participation in War fronts in the Middle East, based upon the "Bush Doctrine is a corresponding violation of the spirit of the Canadian Constitution. Canada's participation in a peacekeeping tradition, was inspired in part, by Biblical Covenant, and is associated with using the Canadian military strictly for defensive and peace-making purposes.

Stephen Harper's presentation of himself as a devout Christian could be viewed to be a complete ruse and charade, alongside his government's participation in an apparent anti-Christ doctrine of pre-emptive war.

Indeed, members of current Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Conservative Party of Canada are not ideological disciples of the "tory" label that they claim. The communitarian-inspired Canadian Tories who inspired the Confederation of Canada, are from a far nobler tradition.

Mr. Harper's Party is an apparent branch plant of the American neo-conservative movement founded by Leo Strauss, who himself had been inspired by Nazism, and also by a book by Frederich Nietzche entitled The Anti-Christ.

"A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit...

  W. G. Bush and S. Hussein

-- And both of these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed. (Book of Daniel 11:27)

The Book of Matthew (7:18) expresses that, "A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit." Well, have you seen a lot of good fruit coming out of Canada's participation in war fronts in Afghanistan, and the Middle East region? Do you see people celebrating in the streets of Kabul, Baghdad, and other parts of southern Asia rejoicing with U.S. and "coalition partners" at the results of the Bush Doctrine pre-emptive war? Or, instead, do you see, and hear about worsening chaos, suffering, carnage, and destruction, which has now gone far beyond Saddam Hussein's own sadistic rule?

The rottening of Iraq and Afghanistan into a worsening culture of violence, retribution, and sadism, came from the correspondingly rotten base that pursued war instead of peace, of the sort that is advocated in Biblical wisdom and in the scriptures of other religions. 'Evil' outcomes emanate from similarly-minded instigators, as peaceful outcomes come from the minds of those who seek peace.

The Bush Doctrine achieves the dysfunctional results that are associated with the dysfunctional mentalities, which then parasitize the chaos the architects of the Bush Doctrines create, to legitimate oppression.

"Man does not live by Bread Alone..."

-- For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (Book of St. Matthew 24:7)

-- All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Book of St. Matthew 24:8)

The Bush Doctrine has similarly ignored the Biblical Injunction that "Man does not live by Bread Alone". The neo-conservative prism of both the Stephen Harper minority government, that also forms guidance of the Bush Doctrine, is predicated on the apparent selling out of humanity, in the pursuit of insatiable commercial profit, from oil in particular, as well as status, and power. The American neo-conservative prism that Stephen Harper has sought to adopt in Canada, is all about "bread", or in other words, the pursuit of materialism.

It must be appreciated that within the prism of the Bush Doctrine, no amount of "commercial profit" and no military victories will create "contentedness". Within this mentality, once one group appears to have been vanquished, "war for resources" will be sought against another group, and then another group after that. In this "Bush Doctrine prism, this will continue, until everyone is under enforced totalitarian rule, in order to maintain the authority of an unjust "Global Empire" that is ruled by what the Bible referred to as "the Beast", and the whole Earth is destroyed in the process.

The Prevailing Bush Doctrine of "Never Ending War"

  Iran_President.jpg

-- And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. (Book of Daniel 11:33)

The prevailing Bush Doctrine in the context of Biblical scripture could be viewed as a blueprint for a "Never Ending War", on behalf of interests which have "Never Abating Commercial Profit Horizons". Within this military-industrial-political complex, war becomes a necessary part of pursuing the sought "conquest" of "inferior races". This is indeed the prism of the "architects" of prevailing Corporate Globalization. That is to say, Corporate Globalization is the construction toward a 'world economy' that is based upon facilitating the commercial ambitions of elites, through war (that is legitimated by public relations disguises of a corporate owned mass-media), irrespective of social and environmental costs.

No man can serve two Masters...

WMD book

-- [H]e shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time. (Book of Daniel 11:24)

-- And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.(Book of Daniel 11:25

-- And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.(Book of Daniel 11:40)

Matthew 6:24 of the Bible which neo-conservatives profess to revere, specifically stipulates that "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve G-d and mammon."

The Bush Doctrine is an apparent choice for Mammon, rather than service to Biblical Law in the support for the pursuit of peace. As far as the apparent Christian hypocrites who pursue Mammon while making public displays of going to Church, and of professed "religiousity", it still remains that we must, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves," (Matthew 7:15).

Indeed, the Bush-Harper cosiness leads one to be mindful of the statement "Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand. (Book of Psalms, 109:7). Indeed, Mr. Harper has made Canada part of an execution of a Bush Doctrine that is led by "workers of iniquity", who "speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts." (Book of Psalms 28:3).

The Bible stipulates that you will know the disciples of Jesus by their expression of love for all of humanity of G-d, not by mere enunciations of words, but through deeds that expresses love, that manifests in peace. The Bush Doctrine is expression of a system of governance which worships Mammon, and that serves materialistically wealthy elites, who exploit the 'politics of fear'. There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt. (Book of Ecclesiastes, 5:13) But those riches perish by evil travail..." (Book of Ecclesiastes, 5:14).

In the pursuit of the politics of fear, "many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of (Book of Peter II, 2:2). And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you..." (Book of Peter II, 2:3). "For they speak not peace," but in the pursuit of resources, that include oil through war in lands which are viewed to be occupied by "inferior races" in a prism of 'neo-fascism', "they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land." (Book of Psalms 35:20)

Neo-conservative architects present the Bush Doctrine to Americans, and others, as defending 'liberty'. However, as further expressed in the Bible, "While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage" (Book of Peter, II, 2:19) The prism of the military-industrial-political contest abhors a Biblically sought peace (that corresponds with the scriptures of other world religions), and seeks reasons for war, metaphorically "under every stone", in order to perpetuate its cancer-like existence in society.

The historical precedence of Pretenders

  Condolezza Rice

-- And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. (Book of St. Matthew 24:11)

-- And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (Book of St. Matthew 24:12)

The historical experience that is associated with the Pretenders illuminates some of our current experience. In the 'Pretenders and Popular Monarchism in Early Modern Russia: The False Tsars of the Time of Troubles', Maureen Perrie describes seventeenth century Russia as a "market for political myths". In a historical milieu commonly referred as the "Times of Troubles", impostors, more referred to as "pretenders" by historians, arose to power by claiming dynastic rights to the Russia throne.

Peasants, it has been argued, held a simplistic faith in the benevolence of the tsar (as an icon of his people), and accepted naively anyone who appeared among them asserting their right to the throne.

Maureen Perrie indicates that the "impostors" who sought to prey on a perceived manipulatable public "always had a preposterous story resembling a fairy tale." Perrie further remarks in her book that, "Those who nurtured such beliefs were prepared to fill in the blanks when a pretender appeared on the scene." And, "Some readily became foot soldiers in the cause of a tsarist impostor and went to their deaths believing in him." Russian and other such pretenders exploited myth in order to achieve sought materialistic riches from war, and power.

Charles A. Ruud who is a member of the University of Western Ontario community, in commenting on Perrie's book further indicates that the Russian people "gave their lives for this series of "tsars" ("pretenders"); became the "victims of oppression", but were also bought into myth-making and become "victims of their own delusions." The phenomenon of "pretenders" was not, however, unique to Russia.

In the early twenty-first century a new generation of apparent "Pretenders" has risen to power, claiming to be disciples of Jesus. These apparent "Pretenders" and have used "Doctrine", in order to also recruit their own "foot soldiers" to also pursue their sought materialistic riches and "wealth", but with far greater costs against humanity.

It is apparent that these new generation of apparent "Pretenders" seek to re-create "Christianity" in their own barbaric images, in order to anoint their own selfish pursuit of materialistic ambition, that defames the legacy of Jesus. In the process these Pretenders have substantively destroyed the messages of liberation that are associated with the Christian faith, and also the image of Christianity among Muslims, and other world religious faiths. These apparent "Pretenders" do not appear to represent Christianity. Instead, these apparent "Pretenders" appear to represent a prevailing substantive civic religion of capitalism, with its Cult worship of Mammon.

In the societal milieu that is thus created, all that is left of Christian faith is the burnt offerings that neo-conservative professors of "Christianity" pursue in Church to show their alleged affinity to Christ. In contrast, the Bible further expresses that "For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings." (Book of Hosea, 6:6) The supposed leaders of these self-professed Churches not only ignore the atrocities committed under the Bush Doctrine, but also, in fact, support it as "neo-conservatives", and they further anoint the apparent conspiracy to subvert Christianity for oppressive purposes. Indeed, "And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent..." (Book of Hosea, 6:6) In the subversion of Christianity by apparent oppressors "many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many." (Book of Matthew 24:11)

Hitler pursued his own "War on Terrorism"

In 1933, Hilter had, indeed, proclaimed his own "War on Terrorism", after the burning down of the German Parliamentary Reichstag. Hitler went on a killing rampage against Communist, intellectuals, and others, who Hitler had blamed for the event. However, it was later proven, as early as the summer of 1933, in the Brown Book on the Reichstag Fire and Hitler's Terror that was published in Switzerland under the editorship of Willi Münzenberg, that the Nazis themselves had committed the crime in a secret operation run by Nazi leader Hermann Göring. The Nazis made very skillful use of myth-making associated with the Reichstag fire to demonize whole groups as "Terrorists", in order to legitimate and establish their dictatorship, associated with their presented "godliness". Canada's participation in the "Bush Doctrine" similarly uses apparent demonization tactics to de-value the loss of life of similarly viewed "inferior races".

In Hitler's "War on Terrorism" which began in 1933, Jews were a prime target, and were described as being plotters of alleged "conspiracy", through the spreading of "Communism", and other attributed disruptive strategies to try to bring down the German nation. After 9/11, the new "War on Terrorism", many Muslims, view themselves to have become the new target for corresponding oppression, in the pursuit of a Corporate "Lebensraum". However, in the apparent representation of the Bible, Muslims who worship Allah, are also G-d children, whose lives must be revered and respected accordingly. The Bush Doctrine has conferred no such respect, that emulates any reverence for Commandment "Thou shall not kill."

Orwellian Newspeak under the Bush Doctrine

Leo Strauss who founded the "neo-conservative" movement, and who had admired Nazism, and the Nietzche book The Anti-Christ, embraced the use of Orwellian-like newspeak that is expressed in the Bush Doctrine. The exploitation and greed-driven Bush Doctrine that the Mr. Harper as a supposedly devout "Christian", of a supposedly "Christian"-inspired political party, has also adopted, and also pursues a pre-emptive war doctrine, as having the goal of 'peace', through executing further breaches of Biblical Covenants, under the mantra of pursuing "good against evil". However, in apparent representation against this apparent prism, the Bible states that "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Book of the Prophet Isiah 5: 20). And, Woe unto them, "Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!" (Book of the Prophet Isiah 5: 23) As further expressed in Biblical metaphors, "Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards..." (Book of the Prophet Isiah 2:23)

Neo-conservatives try to sabotage Christianity in their quest for a New World Order predicated on oppression

  New Order

-- The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good. (Book of Psalms 36:3)

-- He deviseth mischief... he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil. (Book of Psalms 36:4)

--For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth. (Book of Micah 6:14)

The neo-conservatives who embrace the Bush Doctrine, attack "liberals" publicly, and hate in general "liberal democracy" in the prism of Leo Strauss. In contrast, the Bible embraces the "liberal" who embraces the spirituality inspired by Biblical wisdoms, and that contrasts with the "vile" person pursues materialistic riches, who goes about their activities, while ignoring the plight of the poor. The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful. (Book of the Prophet Isiah 32:5) For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. (Book of the Prophet Isiah 32:6)

It appears that Jesus was not a neo-conservative after all, as neo-conservative try to proselytize. Mr. Harper who has committed public funds to pursue an apparent oil motivated war in Afghanistan, within the apparent vile context of the Bush Doctrine has ignored the continuing plight of the poor in Canada, as well as environmental and other vital quality-of-living issues.

Mr. Harper's government represents an elite that uses the corporate owned media to disseminate dis-information, that is completely inconsistent with his devout Christian professings, that is associated with the Bible. The Bible presents expressions which address such behaviour. It states, "For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth." (Book of Micah 6:14)
