Al Gore and Barack Obama co-operating now toward a Presidential ticket is America's best hope

by Nathaniel Adams

  Al Gore

Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore.

As U.S Democrats are beginning to prepare for Primaries to choose a Presidential candidate in 2008, U.S, neo-conservatives under the guise of the contrived "War on Terror" are pursuing North American Union (NAU). CNN's Lou Dobbs has exposed the NAU as a "shameful plot" replace the United States without any broad national or Congressional political debate, as prescribed by the United States Constitution. The NAU plot is designed to make U.S. Democratic surges in U.S. popular opinion totally irrelevant, by replacing U.S. constitutional government, by an institutionalized shadow government PERMANENTLY ruled by neo-conservatives. This would consist of unelected political elites, business leaders, and military interests.

Under a prospective anti-democratic NAU, Goodbye America, will be the result, along with any hopes that grassroots U.S. Democrats might have, to redress Global Warming, get America out of Iraq, obtain universal public healthcare, and redress many other vital quality-of-living areas in America.

U.S. Democrats must unite NOW, under a broad political consensus to save America; OTHERWISE America as a democracy will continue to be effectively dismantled by interests motivated by a greed-driven capitalist ethic. The political experience of Al Gore along with his political commitments which pivotally include Global Warming, and the charisma and broad cross-cultural appeal of Barack Obama, provides the kind of hope for America, which has only been previously rivalled by Robert F. Kennedy's bid for the Presidency in 1968, before he had been assassinated.

It will be too late for America, if Democrats content themselves to wait to organize against their neo-conservative opponents, as these neo-conservatives as reported by CNN's Lou Dobbs, plot America's destruction. The Democratic Party needs at least an official interim leadership outside of the DNC bureaucracy in Washington D.C., that can challenge neo-conservative War of Terror intrigue symbolized by the NAU agenda. Indeed, NAU protagonists have suggested that another 9/11 "New Pearl Harbor-like scenario" is just the thing which is needed to enact NAU now.

Leaders of the John Birch Society have eloquently indicated that there can be "nothing good coming out of the NAU" for Americans (as well as Canadians), based upon its secret clandestine agenda. The clandestine agenda of the NAU suggests an oppressive and fascistic direction.

America is facing categorical destruction, under the apparent negligence of elites who have betrayed America's national destiny as a great democracy, in favour of a self-serving agenda of greed. The members of a clique of economists, business leaders, military interests, and jingoistic politicians, have long argued that "capitalism and freedom" are linked in a constructive way to each other.

The most notable champion of this link was the world renowned scholar and Nobel Laureate Milton Friedman from the University of Chicago, who wrote essentially a related manifesto called 'Capitalism and Freedom'. That book was originally published in the 1960's. However, America's current trauma under the protagonists of capitalism in tandem with "Economic Globalization", shows that capitalism does not reinforce democracy. On the contrary, America now shows that capitalism is a threat to democracy.

Now, before you get all worked up about such a critical observation, think for a moment. What is democracy about? Democracy is about people, and defending the representative interests of a diverse public. Capital-ism is about 'capital', and about perpetuating the interests of the owners of capital.

The elites of America, have sought to blind the American people to that reality. Capitalism is like a "communism of private corporations". While communism prescribes oppression under an authoritarian state bureaucracy; capitalism prescribes oppression under authoritarian Big Business interests, linked with the military, and with corrupted political elites. It was former U.S. Republican President Dwight D. Eisenhower who upon his retirement, warned Americans of the dangers to the fabric of American democracy of the U.S. political-military-industrial complex.

Senator Barack Obama

Illinois Senator Barack Obama.

Well, Americans can either continue to choose a path of capitalism, which is destroying the fabric of America, OR they can reject corporate-centred capitalism, and save what is left of America. Yes, there is an alternative for America to capitalism, and it is NOT communismas brainwashing American elites try to suggest. That alternative to for America to forgo trying to take over the world in a grab for resources for elites; and for America to embrace a context for economic democracy, which reinforces America's politically democratic constitutional heritage. Al Gore and Barack Obama offer to provide the kind of leadership which promises to trigger a critically needed debate to save America, along with the rest of the world, from an apparent corporate greed-driven pursuit of Empire.

Americans who seek peace, universal healthcare, and many other quality-of-living policies; or even the basic right to be heard ,are being frustrated by a Presidential apparatus which seeks to represent the interests of "capital', and not "We the people..." Democrats, independent-minded libertarian-conservatives like Congressional Representative Ron Paul, and other disenfranchised Americans in general, need to put away their relatively superficial political differences, and come together in a Unified Common Front. America has not faced such a threat since World War II, and the response to that threat needs all the organizing efforts that responsible Americans of all political persuasions can spare, to save America from capitalist-inspired neo-fascism, under the mantra of a sought "New World Order".
