American Leaders travel to Ottawa on August 20 to question secrecy of Security and Prosperity Partnership Summit Edited by Traci Lawson OTTAWA, CANADA - Prominent conservative leaders and politicians opposing a North American Union of the United States, Canada, and Mexico will hold a News Conference in Ottawa on Monday, August 20, at 10:00 AM. The News Conference will include Howard Phillips, Chair, and other spokesmen of the Coalition to Block the North American Union, which is protesting secret summit of the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) of North America.
The SPP with U.S. President George Bush, Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada, and President Felipe Calderon of Mexico, is being held in Montebello, Quebec, from August 20-21, to plan an anti-democratic "North American Union". U.S. Congressman Virgil H. Goode, Jr. (D-Virginia.), chief sponsor of House Concurrent Resolution 40 opposing the North American Union and the construction of a NAFTA Superhighway system, is expected to participate at the news conference (either in person or by video). Popular singer, Pat Boone, and U.S. Congressman Walter B. Jones (R-North Carolina) are sending statements for release at the news conference.
