Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad expresses respect for Jews in relation to Palestinians

In an interview with Time Magazine, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad proposed that the five million Palestinian refugees scattered around the world, be allowed to return to historic Palestine to take part in a referendum. In Mr. Ahmadinejad's presented vision Jews and Palestinians would equally participate, in order to mutually determine a system of government for both people.

The Iranian President expressed respect for Jews, but was critical of fascistic Zionists, that are supported by the pro-war U.S. President Bush administration. Zionists support a Neo-Nazi doctrine of pre-emptive strike, that was evident against Iraq (reminiscent of Adolf Hitler's pre-emptive strike against Poland toward the launching of World War II, that was correspondingly represented as being necessary for "national security").

Ahmadinejad's said: "Our position toward the Palestinian question is clear: We say that a nation has been displaced from its own land. Palestinian people are killed in their own lands, by those who are not original inhabitants, and they have come from far areas of the world and have occupied those homes."

"Our suggestion is that the 5 million Palestinian refugees come back to their homes, and then the entire people on those lands hold a referendum and choose their own system of government. This is a democratic and popular way. Do you have any other suggestions?," he further told Time.

Asked if he believes the Jews have the right to a sovereign state, he said, "We do not oppose it. In any country in which the people are ready to vote for the Jews to come to power, it is up to them. In our country, the Jews are living and they are represented in our Parliament. But Zionists are different from Jews."

Ahmadinejad's further illuminates the following profound insights, that I agree with as some who is Jewish, and who embraces a rejuvenated vision of Israel in which we live in peace and mutual prosperity with our Palestinian brothers and sisters, who we share a common ancestry:

"The Zionists, I want to tell you, are NOT Jews."

That is a big deception...

"Zionists are Zionists. Period."

"They are not Jews."

"They are not Christians."

"They are not Muslims."

"They are a POWER group -- a POWER party."

Mr. Bush and his Zionist allies have demonized Mr. Ahmadinejad specifically, and Iran in general, to legitimate an apparent ambitious military expansionist agenda. The pre-emptive military strike against Iraq was based upon well documented fabrications concerning Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs ). That Nazi style pre-emptive strike which has caused catastrophic devastation against the Iraqi people, demonstrates the complete lack of integrity of the "War on Terrorism".
