| Metro losing brand loyalty in volatile market with rebranding of Dominion stores Southern Ontario shopper speaks out on quality-related issues by Blues Breaker1969, Chowhound writer
Metro? Absolutely not impressed. I had no problems buying meat from Dominion's.. I've found that its as some of the posters have said...renovated and more costly and though the suppliers supposedly haven't changed, I'm not impressed with the quality of the meat... the chicken breasts I saw there last week were beige and grey. Not too impressed. Plus I don't like the similar fonts on the Metro and Food Basics flyers... so when I see Metro, I think Food Basics...and I never buy meat from Food Basics. So now I likely won't think of Metro (as I did with Dominion) for meat. And now Loblaws can absolutely smoke Metro if they wanted to.
