| It is okay to treat the symptoms of menopause Special to The Canadian
NC - It is now common for over 70% of women in western societies to experience more than 21 difficult and uncomfortable symptoms of menopause. These unpleasant symptoms can be due to many complicated factors including busy lifestyles, stress, poor diets and individual genetics. Women don't however need to suffer through what should be a natural and gradual process. Along with diet and lifestyle support, there are a number of western and eastern herbs that help to balance hormones and relieve the many symptoms, such as hot flashes, night sweats, abdominal bloating, weight gain, mood swings, anxiety, vaginal dryness, fatigue, loss of libido, joint aches and pains, mental confusion and more.
Naturopathic physicians have had effective results with the herb rehmannia which acts as an energy tonic and is known as a thermagenic (heat regulator) herb. Traditionally rehmannia clears heat from the body, cools the blood and nourishes, giving relief from hot flashes, night sweats and irritability. Previously, practitioners prescribed black cohosh as it was clinically proven to reduce the incidence of hot flashes. Rehmannia is also known to reduce hot flashes, but has the advantage of relieving many of the other symptoms and is therefore becoming the preferred herb. Treatments for menopause need to quickly alleviate symptoms and also achieve lasting results. Herbs such as rehmannia, vitex, paeonia, angelica, dioscorea and bupleurum plus nutrients, calcium, magnesium and vitamin D3 can provide support by balancing 'out of control hormones' allowing women to stay calm and cool during this natural process. Women can now have confidence through menopause with harmony. More information on this topic is available online, LINK. Make comments about this article in The Canadian Blog.
