Chris Brown: It's Back to Jail

Chris Brown, 24, has been ordered to spend up to more than one month in jail after being kicked out of a Malibu rehab center. As per court orders, he will be staying in jail at least until April 23rd after being arrested on Saturday.

The famous R’n’B singer was arrested from a Malibu rehab center after he passed a rather unruly comment in a group therapy session. According to sources, Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin said that Chris had an innate ‘inability to stay out of trouble’ after he was found claiming that he was good at using guns and knives. He claimed so during a part of his group session therapy where the attendees were asked to explain the things that they believed they were good at.

However, this statement was not the only thing that had the staff of the rehab centre worried. He broke yet another rule at the facility, that too a rule that was specifically in place for Brown – a rule that required him to stay at least 2-feet away from every single woman in the facility. He was found rubbing his elbows with a woman at the facility, which was a clear sign that he had broken the rule. Apart from that, he broke a third rule too. The rule deemed it necessary for him to submit to random drug tests, but upon being asked to do so, Brown was found ignoring the facility worker who was trying to administer the test.

According to his lawyer, Mark Geragos, the famed singer had been through a very bad day, which triggered him into breaking all the said rules. “
"You know — do you have a bad day? I have bad days sometimes," Mark Geragos stated outside the courthouse once the hearing was over. "Do you say things you'd like to take back? I certainly do. So I don't know that being in a therapeutic session and you're talking about your reflections and you say one sentence means you go to jail? Seems to me to be counterproductive to therapy".

He did not believe that the singer should have to stay in prison until his next hearing date, which has been scheduled for April 23rd. It has been confirmed by Mr. Mark Geragos that he will be filing a protest against the decision in the hope that Brown can be released early from jail. Police authorities, according to CNN, further confirmed that the singer had co-operated with police officers when he was arrested by the authorities from the Malibu treatment facility, and taken to Los Angeles County men’s central jail, where he is now being held without bail.

Mr. Brown was reportedly sentenced to three months of rehab in the facility, after being overseen by probation officers. He was actually sentenced for attacking his ex-girlfriend, the famous singer Rihanna, back in the year 2009 before the Grammy awards. He was additionally being treated for past substance abuse, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. As per sources, his probation for the attack on Rihanna was due to end this year. He had been sentenced to five years of probation along with 1,400 hours of community service. However, the order was revoked when he was arrested yet again for assaulting a man on the sidewalk in Washington, DC last October , a case that is still pending. A probation violation hearing has not yet been scheduled by Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin.
