NBA: Jason Kidd calls it quit

“I think it is the right time.”

This is the phrase that Jason Kidd stated to ESPNNewYork.com about quitting his career after nineteen years. This New York Knicks point guard continued that he wants to physically participate in some activities with his kids and consider to do some other activities like broadcasting or coaching. The decision was made only last week and he thought that this is the right time.

Kidd was popular for its excellent rebound ability as he always maintained his sharp instincts and distinctive vision. During Kidd’s prime time on NBA, his versatility was more like a direct fast break. This Oakland native boasted higher numbers of triple-doubles—107, precisely—than  anyone, other than Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson.

Definitely, Kidd is very proud of his current career though he mentioned that winning gold medals with the USA national team and a championship with the Mavericks are the most wonderful experiences upon his brilliant career. “Sharing Rookie of the Year with Grant Hill is another prideful experience,” Kidd continued.

Kidd found that that his greatest moments are too many too mention. As the best leaders and point guards, Kidd remains as a person who is hard to rival from his competitors. His value to the NBA and the Knicks are more valuable than merely statistics. Truly, he has made the playoffs in 17 seasons successively, finished with a playoff in 158 career postseason games with the average of 8.0 assists, 12.9 points, 1.9 steals 6.7 rebounds.

Kidd stated that he always feels good when it comes to bringing victory to all his previous teams—from Phoenix Suns, New Jersey Nets, Dallas Mavericks and finally New York Knicks. Yet, he is prefer to avoid being less concentrated on playing and prefers to pass up injuries possibilities when he cannot focus well. “It is time for me to look forward to doing something new.”

The next plan is reaching out to Cuban for going forward in terms of business.
