A lone "painting the drive" looks and sounds strange. Drive is a shortened version of Commercial Drive, a popular street in Vancouver in the middle, sort of, Vancouver's latin district. It's the place of Italian, Portuguese and Brazilian community. The street has its special charm and flavour with lots of funky shops, small markets, and coffee spots. It's colourful, vibrant, full of life, it's simply more latin in its character than anglo-saxon, so to speak. The street has heritage houses along its North-South stretch and local authorities decided to not only renovate them but also put some nice artsy decorations in the form of murals on some of their walls. A lazy stroll along the Drive can reveal some nice surprises for all colour sensitive folks. A hand is itching of not to pull out the camera and shoot. It's always a rewarding experience. Take a look!
