Halifax gets new commercial real estate development

(WireService.ca) - A new commercial real estate development being built on Duke Street in Bedford and represented exclusively by Anna Murphy of Pink Ink Realty offers 36,000 square feet of Halifax business space. Designed and built by Bird Construction, this new Class A facility is located adjacent to Bedford’s largest business park, making it easily accessible from Bedford, Sackville and Fall River.

According to broker Anna Murphy, “This is a really great opportunity for Halifax business owners. It gives them the option to lease or own their space. The difference with owning would be that they would save money monthly and yearly.”

There is still 15,000 square feet available in the Halifax commercial real estate space, and it is scheduled to be completed in May. Owners and lease holders that come in now will have more input into locations of such elements as plumbing and heating.

The state of the art building was designed using sustainable principles and features elements including: enhanced glazing systems to capture and retain heat in the winter and reject solar gain in the summer, tilt-up concrete wall panels constructed with recycled fly ash, making the concrete more durable, workable and less prone to shrinkage cracks. exterior concrete envelope that is attractive, durable and low maintenance, enhanced floor and wall treatments, low flow water fixtures and more.

“What this development does,” explains Anna, “is put control into the business owner’s hands. It takes it away from the landlord and actually gives the control to the person who is making money for the business – you. It allows you to put the money that you’re making on your business into your business, which is a great thing.”
