Montreal-bound Air Canada Flight 408 diverts to CFB Trenton






A Montreal-bound Air Canada flight was forced to land at CFB Trenton on Sunday afternoon, after a galley oven apparently overheated.

Air Canada Flight 408 left Toronto Pearson International Airport on Sunday morning. The Airbus A320 had 119 passengers and five crew on board.

It landed safely at CFB Trenton in eastern Ontario around 1 p.m. ET.

Air Canada spokesman Peter Fitzpatrick told CBC News there are no reported injuries.

Fitzpatrick said the airline will send a plane from Montreal to pick up the passengers on Sunday afternoon.
