New Campbell's Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup Has Got to Go

Do you remember the controversy back in the day when Coca Cola rolled out so-called “New Coke” which did not taste as good as the “old Coke”?  Well it seems ever since that time, there was been an on-going trend by various companies to roll out new cans or boxes of products with wonderfully designed nice new looks, but that have substantively diminished quality specifically or overall taste.

The latest company to try this ploy has been Campbell's.  For many years I have sought to avoid processed foods.  But, Campbell's Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup is one of the few foods put out by multinational business enterprises that I would swear by.  This product's quality has been so stellar for helping to cure the common cold that I as a cook, would rely on this product moreso than trying to cook chicken soup from scratch which I have done before.

Unfortunately, the “new can” Campbell's Homestyle Chicken Soup tastes almost like some kind flavoured urine with a not-so-pleasant after taste.  Curiously, there is no obvious discrepany in the list of ingredients of the “new” and “old” versions of Campbell's flagship condenses chicken noodle soup.  However, this in itself makes the reason for the subtantive difference in taste to be of critical concern.
