(NC) — The true sign of a successful enduring brand is its ability to connect with its audience on different levels. To achieve this ideal, more and more companies are making sincere efforts to reach out to their clientele to offer unique, creative and meaningful experiences that leave long lasting impressions.

One of the leaders of this philosophy has always been Lancôme. As a distinctive and creative brand, Lancôme has continuously worked to offer its clients special connections through its partnerships between beauty and the arts. Throughout the years, Lancôme has associated itself with renowned international visual artists, fashion designers, and photographers to create unique projects such as limited edition collections.

For example, Lancôme recently collaborated with Canadian artists such as photographer Raphael Mazzucco and fashion designer Denis Gagnon, and now is continuing this mission by collaborating with another great Canadian talent – renowned female painter Corno - to create an exclusive limited edition makeup collection.

A remarkable painter and colourist, Corno is considered one of Canada's most talented artists.

Originally from the province of Quebec, she moved to New York in 1992 and has gone on to create work that has been featured in the major art cities of the world from Montreal, Paris and London to Hong Kong and Dubai.

“It's a great honour to work with Lancôme, a brand that I know and love,” Corno said. The products offered in this collection were hand-chosen by Corno and Lancôme Official Makeup Artist, Lora Spiga in order to create a collection that is colourful and playful, as well as complementary to the season's mood and trends.

The limited edition makeup collection includes two lipsticks in a neutral beige and punchy pink, two blushes in a vibrant pink and tangerine, one eye shadow palette in golden hues, a pink nail lacquer and a makeup brush.

“Corno and I wanted to integrate the same kind of vibrancy in the looks as there is in her paintings, but in a very practical manner, in order to create beauty looks that would translate well into everyday life,” explained Spiga.

The artistic expression at the heart of this collection is found in the painting Corno designed specifically for Lancôme which is also featured on the collection's creative packaging, making the products true collector's items. The collection will be available exclusively in Canada at selected Lancôme counters as of mid-May 2012 for a limited time.
