WINDSOR (WireService.ca) -- Walkermole, Walkerville’s newest eatery, becomes Canada’s first restaurant to celebrate Cinco de Marcho - an off-beat 12-day fiesta that begins March 5 and culminates with St. Patrick’s Day on March 17.

“There really is ‘queso’ at the end of the rainbow,” says Walkermole owner Mark Boscariol. “This holiday is not about stereotyping the Irish and Mexican cultures but about having fun at the stereotypes that already exist. Margarita's are green. Coincidence? We think not!” he adds.

Beginning March 5, Walkermole will feature specials on all that’s “green” including its guacamole bocaditos, its house and spinach salads, and its squeezed margaritas made with fresh Mexican lime. Chef Luis Davila will also feature exciting dishes that draw from both the Irish and Mexican cultures.

Walkermole is located in Walkerville, Windsor's heritage precinct. It is co-owned by Chef Jonathan Reaume and Mark Boscariol who collaborated to create Walkerville's newest culinary sensation. Chef Luis DaVila brings an authentic Mexican menu using fresh ingredients that are unique and distinct. The décor is rich in Mexican art and culture, and the ambience is fun and festive.

Walkermole boasts one of Canada's largest selections of tequila, and flights can be ordered by the half ounce. Here you can try a wide variety of tequilas and learn first-hand the difference between Blanco, Reposado and Anejo. To learn more visit www.walkermole.com.
