Dating: Body Language -- Is he only after one thing?

It can definitely be hard to figure out whether or not a guy is only after one thing from you when you have been out of the dating loop for a long time. He seems like the real deal – he pays for the dinner, he opens doors for you, he grabs your hand so you don’t teeter over in your high heels…. Then you get him home and say good night at the front door and he hints for something more. You say that you have an early start; he disappears into the night and never calls you again, leaving him in the land of missed boyfriends and love rats.

How did you play the entire date so wrong? You laughed at his jokes, you wore your sexiest black dress and your beautiful expensive shoes; hell, you even pretended to be interested in his sports related “blah!” What went wrong? The answer is simple – he just wanted one thing.

Ladies, its boot camp time. Here’s how you find out whether or not he is interested in one thing, and all you need to do is learn a bit about body language.

“When speechless, let body do the talk” Never a truer word was spoken than this quote. The man may say one thing, but his body language will say something completely different, and this is very much so the case with his eyes.

Is he looking at you constantly, as in right into your eyes? Lots of eye contact is a move often performed by “players” of women – looking you right into the eyes makes him look honest and interested. In reality, he has perfected this great tip on how to get women into bed. Liars tend to look away, so by constantly maintaining eye language, he is making you feel as if you are the only woman in the world.

The conversation – how one sided is it? There are two conflicting parts to this, which confuses many women. If he talks about you a lot, he could be genuinely interested. At the same time, however, he could be avoiding any questions about himself that could give away vital information that would lead you right to him. If you ask him where he works and he avoids the question, and or answers with a question of his own, he could be avoiding it. At the same time, however, if he constantly talks about himself with very little interest in you, he could be trying to impress you and get into your underwear. This one is most definitely a difficult one to interpret.

Does he touch you a lot? A man on a genuine first date will often be too nervous to want to touch your arm and leg when you are talking, or hold your hand. A player will do all of these things because he knows they work. Contact of any kind is a sexual first move on a date, so if he does it a lot, you could be in for a spot of bother.

The fact of the matter is, if you are dating a guy that closely resembles Ryan Gosling from the hit film “Crazy Stupid Love” then there is a good chance that you are playing right into his hands. Stand your ground ladies – if you don’t want to have sex on the first date, don’t do it. If he doesn’t wait, he wasn’t worth it in the long term anyway. Of course, if you have already spotted his game, what’s the harm in having a little fun of your own….?
