Since the November 5^th sighting of a mysterious oval-shaped object over the town of Pitlochry, Perthshire, a UFO investigation has been underway.  Pitlochry is a tiny town (population 2,564) on the edge of the Cairgorms National Park.  It hosts a theatrical festival and is the site of highland games. It is a very popular base for touring the highlands of Scotland.

The incident over Pitlochrywas reported by the BBC: “UFO investigators are studying footage of a mysterious object seen floating in the sky above Perthshire.Adrian Musat filmed the glowing white light when he spotted it from his living room window in Pitlochry. The 40-year-old chef, originally from Romania, says he is open minded about whether the experience was a brush with extra terrestrials.”

Mr Musatwas open-minded enough to send the material to the British UFO Research Association (BUFORA) who are now examining it.  In his words, “I was stunned when I saw the spooky white light floating over the woodland through my window yesterday morning.”

Musat lives with his wife Nicoleta and two-year-old son Alex near Loch Fiskally.  He was admiring the view from their window (as he often does) when he saw the flashing UFO flying above the nearby Clunie Wood between 5:00 and 5:30pm.It was the day of Bonfire Night (November 5^th). “So,” he said, “you never know what to expect”.  He described the object asabout five metres wide with constantly changing colors.  As with many UFO reports, he was quite clear that there was no sound.

Although not a firm believer in UFOs, Musat said, “I grabbed my video camera and recorded the mysterious light, before sending the tape off to supernatural investigators, the British UFO Research Association (BUFORA) later in the day.”  He added ruefully, “Since then, I have peered out of my window every day hoping for another sighting, but to no avail – so far.”

The video posted by Waring shows an interview with Musat who is very matter of fact about what had happened.  He described the “oval” object, which in the video is actually more like a diamond with softened points, and  repeated several times, “I have never seen anything like it.”
