Elder spousal abuse is rife across Canada and internationally. However, because western societies like Canada and the U.S. seem to put a lower value on the lives of, for example, women in their twenties as compared to women in their 80's the problem continues. The elder victims of spousal abuse are with a voice in defence of their civil and human rights. This is clearly the case in matters involving the spouse for Horace Carby-Samuels. For over one year, this man has denied not only the access to his wife seeing her son, but also to medical personnel. As a result, this former “superwoman” who even into her 80's could do the work of many people much younger than her now does not have the ability to speak, walk or write.

Horace was able to keep her son away by lying to police that we has been suffering from “mental illness” and sought to hold him and his wife hostage. Horace diabolically exploited the racial profiling tendencies of the Ottawa Police to tell a lie that made Raymond subjected to criminal harassment by apparent dirty cops. This included Detective Robert Griffin whose voice is shown in the video below.  He liked to call Raymond for "quick chats" and visits to his residence in plain clothes to demand that he not speak to family and friends about his abuse conduct in support of Horace's lies.

Ironically, Horace always used to boast how he valued “integrity” as the most important chracteristic. When Raymond asked him if he valued integrity so much, how could he justify his systematized lies to police. Do you know what Horace told him? He emphatically exclaimed, “That's life!”

Raymond obtained a court order by Mr. Justice Patrick Smith on 11 February 2016 which sought to enable Raymond to have daily access to see her son toward helping to restore her health. But this Order (delivered to Horace in the video above) has so far been blocked by an apparent ethically questionable law firm in Ottawa called Bell Baker. This law firm does not seem to rely on evidence but instead of their ability to support abusive behaviours and lies of their client(s) though sought manipulations of judges and subversions of civil procedure.

The apparent nefarious activities of John Summers, their representative lawyer, exposes lawyers for systematized unethical and crooked practices which exposes the essential rot that lies in the legal profession as it is currently practiced in Canada.
