On 28 July, UFO specialised website MUFON.com published an anonymous report about an alleged UFO sighting that occurred on 26 July in the Canadian city of Merrit, British Columbia.

“I was on my mother's deck when I saw 6-8 lights fly over me”, the anonymous witness stated. “They were a dull orange almost hazy but could clearly identify they were in a row and attached to one object”, he said.

These objects hovered above the town for a few seconds and later “disappeared behind an enormous willow tree in the yard behind us”.

Long Description of Sighting Report

This is the second time I seen this ufo in 4 days. I seen it on the 22nd of July at 430am and then again on the 26th of July at 1130pm. I was on my mother's deck when I seen 6-8 lights fly over me. They were not as bright as I remembered. They were a dull orange almost hazy but could clearly identify they were in a row and attached to one object. I yelled for my mom to come out and witness it. She was able to view the lights before it dissapered behind an enormous willow tree in the yard behind us. I told my mother about the first sighting and she was sceptical. After she witnessed it for herself she admitted she could not explain the lights and was shaken. Asked me to stop going outside on the deck. Worried the objet may come back. It was between 50-100 feet in length. We both heard a unfamiliar swishing light humming sound. Very faint.I have been curious about ufo's but never sure of their existence until now. There is no explication for what we seen other than a ufo. My mother was a sceptic and thought ufo sightings to be nonsense and could always be explained until she witnessed those lights that evening. I did catch some other weird activity on the camera of my phone later that evening. It will not load to the website.
