Place: Brantford, Province of Ontario, Canada.

On 29 July, UFO specialised website MUFON.com received a meticulously detailed report of a very strange event that occurred six days before, on 23 July, in the city of Brantford, Canada.

According to this anonymous report, a greenish flashing light was seen in the sky moving around the Moon.

“On the night of July 23 2016, I went outside of my home in Brantford, Canada and proceeded to take photos of the moon”, the unnamed witness stated. Then, “at approximately 12:00 am (SSE direction) I noticed a flash above the Moon”, he said. “It was a quick on /off 'type' of a light”, he continued.

Feeling curious about this unusual light, he decided to take some photos with his camera. “By the time I had my camera set to shoot I realized it was visible to the naked eye at approximately the 1 o'clock position”, he related.  “It appeared as a star or possible planet in the distance”.

About the features of the object, he said that it did not “fit into the standard category of UFO”, but he declared that “it had an almost patina green body”, while “the under carriage appeared ‘copperish’ and visible through the camera lens sectioning in 3 spots”.

Long Description of Sighting Report

On the night of July 23 2016 i went outside of my home in Brantford On Canada and proceeded to take photos of the moon.Something i do regularly .

At approx 12:00 am (SSE direction) i noticed a flash above the moon,it was a quick on /off 'type' of a light. The light flash was quick enough for me to question whether i had indeed seen it.

I thought the best idea was to see if the camera could perhaps 'catch' it as i had expected it to happen again, possibly revealing a satellite. by the time i had my camera set to shoot i realized it was visible to the naked eye at the approx. the 1 o'clock position it appeared as a star or possible planet in the distance. This piqued my curiosity greatly and i considered what planets ,stars etc and could think of none. I did note there was no other activity in the sky.

I proceed to take several pictures and was noticing it was changing positions but i did not witness movement. Many of the pictures were out of focus but i was able to capture some that were clear.

Describing the object was difficult as i found it did not fit into the 'standard catergory' UFO, that most witness.It had an almost patina green body,the under carriage appearing copperish and a visible through the camera lens sectioning in 3 spots. I was completely amazed at the size.

A tripod was not used,i was shaking and my heart was racing while trying to take photos wondering if it was all truly happening as well who was going to believe this besides MUFON !

I suddenly felt 'vulnerable' and went in the house to review the photos.

I did not sleep much that night or any night since mostly a feeling of amazement.
