On 02 February, YouTube user and UFO hunter secureteam10 rediscovered a video of a very unusual event that occurred in Southampton, England, on 27 November, 1977.

The aforementioned video contains a 2-minute-long scene of a local news bulletin in which it is possible to hear a strange voice that interrupts the broadcast.

“This is the voice of Vrillon, a representative of the Ashtar Galactic Command, speaking to you”, said the voice. “For many years, you have seen us as lights in the sky. We speak to you now in peace and wisdom as we have done to your brothers and sisters all over this, your planet Earth”, it continued.

The unidentified being alerted that all “weapons of evil must be removed” in order to reach “higher stages of evolution”. “All your weapons of evil must be removed. The time for conflict is now past and the race of which you are a part may proceed to higher stages of its evolution if you show yourselves worthy to do this”, expressed the being. He also warned: “you have but a short time to live together in peace and goodwill”.

“We are deeply concerned about you and your path towards the light, and we will do all we can to help you. Have no fear, seek only to know yourselves, and live in harmony with the ways of your planet Earth”, concluded the entity.

A news report published on Ellensburg Daily Record on 28 November, 1977, said that, after the transmission, people “flooded police telephones with calls”. The authorities affirmed “they had no idea who –or what- pre-empted the airwaves in Southern England, but they warned that the male voice identifying itself as a galactic visitor could wind up in court if he is traced”.

The report also quoted one of the researchers, who commented: “clearly the android must have known his onions. I mean, you can’t go addressing the airwaves unless you have a fair amount of technical knowledge”. 

Another researcher also mentioned: “either a transmitter or some kind of link into land lines was used by someone or they managed to get access to the transmitters at Rowbridge or Hannington”.
