UFO sightings reports from Sweden are not very common, but in the last years, the number of unexplainable events in the skies of the Nordic country has considerably increased.

For example, in November 2016, British online newspaper Daily Star published a very interesting article about an alleged UFO that was caught on camera by photographer Oliver Wright. In his photos it is possible to see a white, glowing object hovering near the Aurora Borealis.

Then, on 20 February 2017, UFO specialised website Section 51 released a report about a strange phenomenon that took place in Tännforsen waterfall, in the east of Sweden.  According to this report, a Swedish citizen filmed what was described as “a UFO stealing water” from the waterfall. 

Some researchers were of the opinion that the unknown craft was probably “taking the water for experimentation purposes”, since “waters on Earth contain lots of organisms”.

And, finally, on 27 February, occurred the most recent alien-related event registered.

This time, the website of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) received an anonymous report about “strange glowing lights” hovering around an airplane in the city of Gnesta, Södermanland.

The unnamed man affirmed that he was resting outdoors with his girlfriend, when she noticed an unusual feature in the sky. “Me and my girlfriend where out on our lawn”, he stated. “I´ve had my camera with me as usually. My girlfriend noticed an airplane in the sky above with some strange glowing lights behind it”, he continued.

However, the event did not last too much, since the witness could only take one photo. “I managed to take one photo before it disappeared behind a cloud”, he commented.

On this sighting, UFO researcher and writer Scott C. Waring, of UFO Sightings Daily, said: “Back in WWI and WWII this type of UFOs were called Foo Fighters”.

“A large glowing orb that was as big as a car and often matched speed with the fighter planes, flying a log side them for hours at a time”, Mr Waring expressed. “Awesome to see they are still out there”, he affirmed.

Back in WWI and WWII this type of UFOs were called Foo Fighters. A large glowing orb that was as big as a car and often matched speed with the fighter planes, flying a log side them for hours at a time. Awesome to see they are still out there.
