A few weeks ago, on 15 August, in the city of Vancouver, a very strange event happened.

According to an anonymous report published on Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) online database, a local resident affirmed to have seen “a softball-sized translucent sphere” hovering near his house.

“I approached my balcony , opened the door and a softball-sized translucent sphere or orb zigzagged and came right at my balcony window, 5 feet from me, and disappeared in front of me”, the witness affirmed. He also informed that the object appeared to be “very dim”.

“I immediately grabbed my SMU, or Skywatchers Mobile Unit, set up my cameras and pointed West, and noticed what I thought was a plane (but it was unusual looking) [flying] above my condo”, the Vancouver resident asserted. He stated that the unidentified flying object followed a “very normal traffic lane for planes on the way to YVR [Vancouver International Airport], but it strobed consistently bright blue”.

“[The object’s] configuration was unusual, so I began to film and within a minute or two, a small-lighted object, which I've seen many times over the years, like and orb, entered the frame from the northwest zigzagging and descended just above tree tops, actually above Granville Street Bridge”, the unnamed witness related.

“Using a colour night vision, the object was yellow orange. It hovered for a few seconds and then ascended and hovered for two or three seconds and began to travel to the same area it entered the city, but it then shot something the ground”, he added.

Finally, the Vancouver citizen alleged that this was not his first encounter with a UFO. “I've seen this occur in three separate times, from star-like objects back in 2013-2014. Later there were more blinking lights and large spherical bright lights in the area, not on any flight plan I’m familiar with. [This] activity reminded me of very busy times in Vancouver back in 2012. No doubt it was a UAP [Unidentified Aerial Phenomena] since I have filmed them before in the past”, he explained.
