UFO: Illinois Residents Photograph Orange Orb
Date: 17 December, 2017.
Place: Alma, State of Illinois, United States.
A few days ago, on 17 December, a very strange incident occurred in the small village of Alma, Illinois.
According to an anonymous report published on Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) online database, a local resident and his neighbour affirmed to have seen “a red light” moving across the sky.
“I saw a Facebook post by a neighbour who said he saw an unexplained red light in the sky. I then checked my surveillance video, which happened to be aimed at that section of sky, and found the light he described”, the author of the report stated. “While watching the video, I noticed the camera had an unexplained loss of about thirty seconds of time. Shortly after, the camera was affected by some kind of electromagnetic disturbance”, he continued.
The unnamed witness explained that this anomaly was followed by another period of missing time, after which the unidentified object appeared in camera again. “After another longer period of missing time, the red light (appearing a dimmed white in the night time infrared video) blinked into view”, he said. “It lasted a couple seconds and then fainter lights could be seen blinking in and out of view in the surrounding sky. Then the main light came back on before the view became ‘normal’", he added.
The Illinois resident commented that he found especially unusual the fact that his neighbour’s camera records also showed similar periods of missing time. “I found it oddly coincidental that the cameras experienced loss of time, rather than just go black as if the power had gone out, and then the light suddenly appears afterward”, he expressed. “This particular camera has been very reliable in its performance. The fact that the event was noticed by someone else (and photographed) several hours before I investigated the video footage tells me that none of these lights and camera behaviour were caused by the equipment, but recorded a real event in the sky”, he opined.
