Last month, more specifically on 20 December, a very strange event was witnessed in the small city of South River, Ontario.

According to an anonymous report published on Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) online database, a local resident affirmed to have seen a “red or orange ball of light” hovering over the town on the previously mentioned date.

“It was a crystal clear night. There was no wind, no noise, and it was very dark, as there was no moon out. The event took place around 11:00 pm, while a friend and I were chatting by the camp fire. I saw an orange point of light through the trees, off in the distance above my friend, which caught my attention“, the witness commented.

The Ontario resident affirmed that, a few moments later, the small point of light got closer to him and his friend until it became “a red or orange ball of light”. “It [the object] appeared to approach directly towards us from the northwest, and as it began to descend and get closer I could see that it was a red or orange ball of light”, he stated. “I pointed it out to my friend and when it was at approximately 150ft away from us and just over the tree tops (50-60ft altitude), it changed direction, now bearing east directly over a large clearing on the property. This gave us a mostly unobstructed view of it”, the unnamed Canadian citizen explained.

“We estimated it to be about 2 or 3ft in diameter and the colour was mostly deep orange (like molten iron) with some darker red blotches fluxing on it. The movement wasn't quite smooth; it seemed a little jerky up and down as it moved across. It made no noise”, the author of the report described. “It took about 7 or 8 seconds for it to move across the clearing, and then we lost it through the trees as it continued to move east. We ran out to the dock (it took us about 10 seconds) to see if we could see it again but it had disappeared”, he added.
