In recent years, the number of reports of UFO sightings and alien encounters around the world has alarmingly increased. And this trend will continue into the future, in the opinion of a Wyoming (United States) resident who claimed in October that he was a “time traveller from 2048” and he came back to the past to warn that “aliens will attack Earth in 2018”.

According to an article published on British online newspaper The Express, the American citizen was “arrested after claiming to be a time traveller from 2048 sent back to warn people about a 2018 alien invasion”.

“Officers in Casper, Wyoming, said the Bryant Johnson, from central Wyoming, in the US, was arrested for public intoxication. Casper police said the man they encountered at 10.30pm on Monday claimed he was from the year 2048. The suspect told police he wanted to warn the people of Casper that aliens will arrive next year [2018], and that they should leave as soon as possible”, the article states.

Mr Johnson also affirmed that aliens had allegedly prepared his body to time travel by giving him alcohol. “According to police, the man told them he was only able to time travel because aliens filled his body with alcohol”, The Express reports. “He said that the plan had gone wrong and he was supposed to be transported back to 2018, not 2017”.

“Police said he smelt of alcohol, and spoke with slightly slurred speech, but he said to them: ‘The aliens were coming next year and we needed to make sure to leave as fast as possible’. Officers did not believe the man's claims and arrested him as a drunk”, says the news article. “He refused to speak with nurses or doctors and instead insisted on meeting with ‘the president’. He also claimed he stood on a ‘giant pad’ which then transported him back in time”, The Express adds.

Finally, Mr Johnson was sent to Natrona Detention Centre, located in Natrona County, Wyoming.
