(TheSunCo.uk) -- WATER contaminated with hormone chemicals from women on the Pill could be giving MEN prostate cancer, experts fear.

The theory — in the respected British Medical Journal — follows a study into what is now the most common cancer in males.

Researchers mapped the rise in the disease worldwide — and found worst-hit countries had also seen a massive increase in use of the contraceptive pill.

The blame may lie with EDCs — endocrine disruptor chemicals — which persist in the water supply. They have previously been linked to low sperm counts.

Dr David Margel, who led the Canadian research, said the findings were troubling for "many parts of the industrialised world".
