John Ibbitson: A Patriot among Traitors on Canada-U.S. Border Pact

I would like to congratulate the Globe and Mail’s John Ibbitson in writing the article “Border deal a hard barrier for Harper’s critics to cross,” that was published on Sunday, November 27, 2011.

Mr. Ibbitson appears to stand out, in general, as a journalist of great integrity, in a Canadian media world dominated by sell-outs. Mr. Ibbiston stands out, in sharp contrast, to the apparent sell-outs of his profession. I say to the other so-called “journalists” in Canada’s corporate owned newspapers, radio, and TV news: You betray Canadians, and your profession with the sugar-coated disinformation you sew about the clandestinely negotiated Canada-U.S. Border Pact.

It is apparent that Canada’s “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil” so-called journalists have prostituted themselves to a clique of Canadian business executives who serve an American political-military-industrial complex. When in a few years time, if Mr. Harper has his way, we are all suffering from the same kind of social malaise prevalent in the United States, and if you are without affordable healthcare, after having lost your job, you’ll have no one to blame but yourself. You traitors in the journalistic community please remember this moment, as you turn your back to Canada, and to basic standards of professional integrity.

If these “Quisling” journalists have their way, goodbye Canadian border, and goodbye to our birthright and freedoms as Canadians.

In the early 1970’s Walter Gordon inspired the Toronto Star to lead the charge against then U.S. President Nixon’s designs against Canada. Who will be the next John Ibbitson to stand up for his or her profession and for Canada?

The erosion of Canadian sovereignty has been slow and methodical and the last phase is about to be set into place. The failing economy and collapse of global finance will be the scape-goat excuse to unify the Canada, USA and eventually Mexico.
