When it comes to online dating, it pays to make sure that everything is thought about; the profile, the pictures, the "about me", and even the messages that you use to get in touch with potential dates. One of the many problems faced by many people on an online dating website is finding the right pictures, and the right amount of pictures, to use on the website itself. If you think that there are three stages of profile picture states, you will soon understand what we are taking about when we say that this is important

Stage one - one photo.

What does the single photo mean? It could mean a scammer that has found photo of a beautiful person on the Internet and used it as his or her profile picture. It could also mean that a person that is not really who they say they are - too young or old, married, etc.

The single photo could also mean that the person behind the profile is lazy. In reality, the single photo profile page is almost identical to that of the no photo page - either very little effort, or there are some secrets in hiding.

How can you make out a person with just one photo? In the same way, how can you really display your beautiful personality from a single photo alone? Yes, you have that one picture of you that you really like, but how true to you is that? The picture may be one of you in a beautiful gown or tuxedo, but if you have only worn these outfits once in your life, it is not really a true picture match to your personality.

Stage two - three or four photos

This person is juggling the right amount of photos. There is a smart pose, a playful pose, and perhaps one of the person with his or her kids. This one enables you to find a number of different things out about them, just by looking at the photos. This is always a good rule to head towards if you are worrying about the photo part of your profile page.

Stage three - ten or more photos

If the person that you are looking at has a million photos of themselves, there is a good chance that they simply love themselves. Either that or they are just trying too hard. It's probably the latter if the photos are all of them holding their phone in front of a mirror, or plenty of close ups of his face. Let's be honest about this - there is such a thing as too many photos!

When it comes to finding the perfect photos and the perfect amount of photos, to put on your online dating website profile, it's probably best to go with the less is more thought. Don't have too many photos, and have a good selection of them too. If you love hanging out with the girls and having a few Chardonnays, why not have a photo of that? Have a nice photo of you dressed up, alongside a photo of you dressed down in track pants. Have one of you and your kids, or family members that you regularly hang out with, and then have your favourite picture of you doing whatever it is that you love to do. By doing this, you are showing off every ounce of your personality and the life that you lead n they're photos that you are showing off.
