Sex Life: How first time may be important

It takes a long period of time to forget a bad experience on first time sex. Memories of good sex however last long and makes sex to seem as something healthy and fun. You can blame yourself for bad decisions you made about the person you slept with on your first time but things are not that bad after all according to findings from California state university.

Apparently, memories of that whack first sex will still be there but this does not have to determine your future sexual life. To be amazing in bed, you have to understand yourself first. Your reasons for having sex will also affect your experience.

In contrast to this a new research conducted at the University of Tennessee suggests otherwise. College students were sampled on their first sexual experiences and their sex experiences on the following two weeks. Science Daily summarized the findings of this research and concluded that the people who found their sex life to be fulfilling were the people who experienced emotional and physical satisfying sex during their first time.

Those who experienced much anxiety and negativity on their first time reported to have had an overall sexual functioning that was low. However Matthew Shaffer who was the lead researcher on the study made a further remark and said that the research may not prove that a better first time sexual experience does not imply a good general sexual life in the future but the experience on losing virginity may lay a pattern for future years. The film director of How to lose your virginity, Therese Shechter shared her views on this and said that future sexual life does not depend on first time but the outcome of both can be affected by the same factors.

Sometimes it’s how your partner treats you after sex that affects your sex life. If he dumps you after your first time, you may think they did not find you good in bed and instead of finding somebody to date and enjoy sex with, you end up getting involved with a string of partners trying to prove your first time wrong. You are scared of history repeating itself and you restrain yourself from being adventurous. Have confidence in bed and get to know what turns you on and you will have a fantastic time in bed.
