Cricket: New Zealand lead by 79 runs







Host Bangladesh was back in the game and took three wickets after lunch where the number one all-rounder Shakib al Hasan picked up his five wicket haul along with debutant Al-Amin Hossain took his first wicket of his career and the New Zealand side took the lead of 36 runs and went for tea at the score of 361/8.

Bangladesh made a good comeback after lunch where the host picked up two settled Kiwi batsman and the first wicket after lunch was taken by left arm spinner Abdur Razzak when Kane Williamson tried to clear the long on boundary and skied in the air which founds Tamim Iqbal on the mid on region and the right hander was dismissed on 62 runs.

However, Williamson was dropped earlier on 58 runs by skipper Mushfiqur Rahim where the right hander edged the ball of Sohag Gazi but the captain missed the chance.

 Left hander Corey Anderson continued his compact batting and reached his century by smashing a boundary of Sohag Gazi after lunch but the left hander was soon dismissed by the debutant pacer Al-Amin when he was caught at the extra cover after scoring 116 runs off 200 balls smashing thirteen boundaries and two sixes at the score of 287/6.

 Shakib al Hasan took his fifth wicket of the match of Bracewell on 17 runs where the left hander foxed the Kiwi batsman and skipper took the catch behind the wicket and went for tea break at the score of 318/7.
