A dark triangular shaped object was observed flying over Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on 6 May, 2013 at 10:30 PM, as reported by an eyewitness. This report has been obtained from a testimony included in the database of Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), published on 5 May, 2013.

The witness begins the report by describing what he was doing at the time of the incident.

“The night of May 6th around 10:30 PM. Was outside in the back yard looking up at the clear night sky talking on the phone when I saw what appeared at first to be the V-shape of Canada Geese.”

The witness describes how he realized that the shape of the object did not change.

“I waited to hear the familiar sound of their honking then noticed that the shape did not change as it would normally.”

He describes the shape of the object.

“As it came closer I realized that it appeared to be a triangular shaped craft with dim lighting on the leading edge (hence the appearance of geese flying in v formation).”

The witness then describes the direction of the object.

“This flight path was from south to north and I didn't hear a thing as it passed overhead.”

He also tries to guess its altitude.

“The altitude was hard to judge (not knowing the actual size) but it looked to be 3-4 thousand feet up. Hard to tell, just a wild guess.”

The witness describes how he told his girlfriend about the sighting. He also tells us how the object disappeared.

“Mentioned the sighting to my girlfriend, whom I was talking to, because I had not responded to her during the sighting. The triangle disappeared behind the tree in the back yard.”

The witness finally tells us how he is not the only one who had sighted the triangular object.

“Glad I'm not the only one that has seen the same thing. See other N. Ontario sighting”
