A Lafayette County, AR, witness in the small town of Stamps reported watching a low flying, orange-glowing UFO that made a U-turn before disappearing, according to January 29, 2014, testimony from Case 53800 in the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. The witness was returning home about 8 p.m., January 19, 2014, in a semi truck with a 5-year-old daughter when the object was first seen. "We got to the intersection just before our house and saw a beautiful orange glowing ball over the top of our house," the witness stated. "When I told my daughter, look at that, it slowly started moving north until it got in front of us." Then the object made a controlled change in direction. "When in front of us it made a U-turn and flew over us. As it flew over us it disappeared." Stamps is a town in Lafayette County, AR, population 2,131. No photos or videos were included with the report. Arkansas is a current UFO ALERT 5 rating, with a low number of UFO sightings nationally. Arkansas had 3 reports in December 2013 - while California had 68 reports - the highest reporting state in the nation.
