A mysterious bright light has been spotted on pictures sent back from the Mars Curiosity Rover which seem to show a UFO with a clear trail behind it.

The pictures, shown on UFO Sightings Daily, show an object with a cone to the top, a spherical central area and a tail, which could be some form of exhaust.  The pictures were uncovered by UFO Hunter Streetcap1 and are in the upper right side of the picture.

Some sources have suggested that the object is an asteroid or perhaps something on the actual lenses of the camera as opposed to in the sky.  Another suggested it was ‘just a weather balloon’.

Since the Curiosity Rover landed in August 2012, there have been a number of unexplained images and footage.  From rocks in one shot then missing from the next to apparent sizeable structures and even ‘Mars animals’ the footage from the rover is asking plenty of questions.

Perhaps too many for NASA leading them to ‘leaking’ pictures on YouTube of a pair of UFO’s streaking across the Martian sky last August.  The website Space.com noted that under Paranormal Collection, these pictures were created on a computer, author unknown, and may have been an attempt to draw attention away from the genuine mysterious pictures returned by the rover.
