New York Witnesses report low flying UFOs
Reports of low-flying UFOs near ground level continue to be reported to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). Here are reports made within the past week that remain under investigation.
New York family at campfire shocked when UFO appears nearby
New York family members at Williamson said they were "dumbfounded" when a bright light UFO appeared just 100 yards away in nearby trees, moved out into a clearing and then shot off into the night sky about 11:01 p.m. on September 27, 2014, according to testimony in Case 60183.
The witness and family members were outside at a campfire when the object was first noticed.
"My brother-in-law first noticed an extremely bright white light through the trees 100 yards away east of us," the reporting witness stated. "The light was blinding and we could not make out the shape."
Could disappearing Arizona house have been a UFO?
Arizona witnesses at Sierra Vista recalled events from 2012 when a rectangular object sitting in what had been an empty field disappeared by morning, according to September 29, 2014, testimony in Case 60151.
The reporting witness and her husband had stepped outside about 9:45 p.m. on a clear December night in 2012 before heading to bed when they noticed the object in a nearby field.
"We were only out there about a minute before we noticed what appeared to us to be a single-wide mobile home or rectangular-shaped house in the field across the street," the witness stated. "This field is totally fenced in and there has been nothing there for several years so we were surprised to see a house. We hadn’t heard anything during the day nor seen any movement /trucks bringing in a house."
UFOs caught on camera move into cloud cover
A Colorado witness at Idaho Springs reported watching three bright light UFOs that moved "straight up into the clouds" about 1:16 a.m. today, according to testimony in Case 60176.
The witness was working the night shift at the twin tunnels when he stopped to take a photograph of the tunnel and mountain.
"Someone else noticed the lights and pointed them out to us," the witness stated. "Myself and many others all watched as they slowly flew straight up into the clouds. It was overcast and a bit foggy so they had to be pretty close. I didn't realize until later that I had taken pictures of it."
Third Joplin, MO, case details UFO at near ground level
A new witness came forward today adding a third 2014 date to close encounters with a UFO near ground level in Joplin, MO, according to testimony in Case 60172
.
The witness, who reported a "very large UFO with windows hovering close to trees," asked to remain anonymous and filed the case directly with Missouri MUFON Assistant State Director Margie Kay.
Previously three professional Joplin witnesses came forward reporting a July 8, 2014, case where the object was near ground level and larger than a house. Additionally, another anonymous witness who also reported their sighting directly to Kay described a close encounter that took place on August 16, 2014, in Case 59509.
Arizona witness recalls saucer UFO low over drive-in movie
An Arizona witness at Yuma recalls events from 38 years ago when a UFO moved close to family members at a drive-in movie theater, according to testimony in Case 60102
.
The witness was at the drive-in with her mother, stepbrother and young daughter when dim lights were seen in the sky in September 1976.
"I simply assumed the dim lit lights were that of the windows of a passenger airplane," the witness stated. "At this point I couldn't see its shape – just the lights."
West Virginia witness says low flying UFO cloaked itself
West Virginia witnesses at Elkins reported watching and following a low flying , triangle-shaped UFO that eventually appeared to cloak itself and disappear about 8:40 p.m. on September 25, 2014, according to testimony in Case 60101.
The reporting witness and his wife were driving south out of Elkins on Beverly Pike when two bright orange lights were observed low in the sky.
"The light on the right was higher than the one on the left, suggesting the object had just changed direction or was banking from a western direction of travel to a northern direction of travel," the witness stated.
California witness says UFO ‘disappeared into doorway in sky’
A California witness at Riverside reported watching a bright white UFO with dark blue edges that made no sound as it moved overhead, according to testimony in Case 60066.
The witness was sitting in a chair and meditating about 9:30 p.m. on September 22, 2014, when the object was first noticed moving in from a southeast direction.
"From the south direction moving east towards where I was sitting, I saw a bright white, round light moving slowly," the witness stated. "From the round, bright light came dark blue edges on each side with small red lights. It was very beautiful."
‘Ball of light’ UFO hovers over Alaskan town
An Alaskan witness at Eagle River reported watching a "ball of light" UFO that appeared to move intelligently with hovering and course correction movements, according to testimony in Case 60040.
The witness was walking home from a friend’s home at 1:15 a.m. on September 21, 2014, when the object was first seen.
"It was a dark sky with light cloud coverage and a ball of light was apparent," the witness stated. "It did not have the shape of the Northern Lights. I thought the object was a meteor but it never picked up speed."
