Five states report low flying UFOs
UFO traffic during the second half of November 2014 includes low flying objects over Oregon, Alabama, Minnesota, Arkansas and Washington, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. Interesting historical case reports were filed from Mississippi and Florida and one witness explains how his Pennsylvania close encounter was shared with broadcast legend Arthur Godfrey.
The following MUFON cases were selected as some of the most interesting testimony during this two-week period. All cases remain under investigation.
Diamond UFO spotted at 100 feet over small Oregon town
An Oregon witness at Beaver Marsh reported watching a silent, diamond-shaped UFO, moving overhead about 100 feet in altitude, according to testimony in Case 61431.
The witness stepped outside from a parked travel trailer along Highway 97 just southeast of the Diamond Lake Junction turn off about 6:45 p.m. on November 9, 2014, when the object was first seen coming from the south.
"It was before the moon had appeared on the horizon and the sky was very dark," the witness stated. "The stars that night were very bright. When I looked up to the south I was looking directly at a metal tower of some sort (radio-telephone) with a red light on top. There was some illumination from a billboard in front of the tower."
The witness described the object.
"I saw a silent shape move very slowly – perhaps 25 mph (guess) fly over the tower and my head and continue to the north. I was only able to see the UFO from roughly 60 yards away to the south and 60 yards away to the north. I could only see a moving blur until the object was directly overhead and the stars in the background were covered up as the shape passed between them and me. It was then I could see the outline of the craft. It appeared to be a diamond shape."
Multiple UFOs recalled low over Mississippi neighborhood
A Mississippi witness recalls an extraordinary encounter with three UFOs that moved slowly along a Jackson street at 100 feet with multiple observers, according to testimony in Case 61533.
The events unfolded along Warner Avenue about 6:30 p.m. on October 15, 1978, as the witness was delivering newspapers with his mother and sister.
"I had a paper route and delivered the Jackson Daily News, an evening paper in Jackson, MS," the witness stated. "I had approximately 150 houses on my route so my father would normally take me on my route. But it was volleyball season and my father taught math, history, and coached volleyball at a local high school, so during volleyball season he usually got home too late to take me on the route so my mother had to take me."
The witnesses’ mother did not like to be the driver because she had recently purchased a new Buick Limited.
"I paid my older sister to fold and rubber band the papers for me and when my mother took me on the route my sister had to throw the left side and I threw the right side. Anyone with a paper route knows it’s really difficult to throw papers with a new driver because they don’t know which houses to slow down for. I was 13 and my sister was 14 at the time."
The group had turned onto Warner Avenue from Utah Street. The witness had to get out of the vehicle because his papers were landing on the wrong lawns.
"Right before I got out of the car my mother’s radio went to static. I threw the five houses on foot and was walking back to the car when I noticed everyone on the street starting to come outside. They were asking each other who had power – apparently power for that entire street had went off."
Triangle UFO hovers over Alabama I-459 bridge
An Alabama witness driving along I-459 at the Morgan Road exit near Hoover reported watching a black triangle UFO hovering over a bridge, according to testimony in Case 61566.
The witness was driving toward Hoover at 5:55 p.m. on November 19, 2014, and had just passed the Morgan Road exit when the objet was first seen.
"I see what looks like a small, two-seat airplane," the witness stated. "I say that because it was low – tree tops – and was moving across the sky going to my right. It was not going too fast. The Bessemer airport is about 5-10 miles from where I was."
But then the object made an unusual maneuver.
"All of a sudden this object turns upside down and goes back to the left. It stops and hovers. I was thinking – that sure don’t act or seem like a small airplane?"
Witness shares UFO encounter with broadcast legend Arthur Godfrey
A Pennsylvania witness at Philadelphia recounts a historical encounter with a UFO that he later discovered was also reported by broadcaster-entertainer Arthur Godfrey, according to testimony from Case 61370.
The witness was at home in Philadelphia on June 25, 1965, when the incident occurred. This report is best told completely in the witnesses’ own words.
"At the time I was 11 years old," the witness stated. "I am a retired Air Force Intelligence Officer (Major), and veteran of the Gulf War. I was sitting looking out a window when I saw a large bright object descending at a fast rate of speed. It was coming down at a 45 percent angle at perhaps 50 mph. I thought it was a rocket because of its shape – a cylinder with rounded ends.
Minnesota witness alerted to UFO in building reflection
A Minnesota witness reported watching a bullet-shaped UFO hovering next to a Minneapolis building that quickly accelerated to the northeast after first seeing its reflection, according to testimony in Case 61617.
The witness was a front seat passenger in a carpool on a clear and bright day on October 28, 2014, when the object was first noticed.
"I was looking out of the passenger window and idly ran my eyes up the side of a mirrored building approximately 15-degrees to the right of my central viewpoint," the witness stated. "As I followed the building up, I noticed the reflection of the craft in the side of the building."
‘Platform-like’ UFO spotted hovering near Arkansas nuclear plant
An Arkansas witness at Dover reported watching a "bright, flashy, platform-like object" hovering near the nuclear plant in Russellvillle, according to testimony in Case 61651.
The object was noticed beginning about 1 a.m. on November 8, 2014, which was about 20 miles from the witnesses’ home.
"It emitted multi-colored lights as it stay stationary in the sky," the witness stated. "For the next following two hours I would check on it periodically."
The object moved at about 3 a.m.
"It ascended a flight path over my house and was completely out of view within three minutes. Object had no sound and had a strange electromagnetic-like feeling pulsate through my body as it flew over me."
Florida disc UFO described as ‘giving off energy’
A Florida witness at Lake Mary recounts a close encounter with a disc-shaped UFO that moved overhead, according to testimony in Case 61661.
The witness was working a night shift as a waiter in Lake Mary and had stepped outside just after sunset with a co-worker about 7:45 p.m. on September 1, 2011, when the object was first seen.
"I noticed a luminous flying saucer coming from the east right over the tree line," the witness stated."I was absolutely positive that I was seeing something I have never seen before. It flew directly (90-degrees) over our heads and appeared to be pretty high up, but not at airplane level – traveling west-northwest in a steady line going relatively slow (in my opinion)."
UFO engulfs Washington witness in white light
A Randle, WA, witness reported watching a disc-shaped UFO hovering under 500 feet and just 1,500 feet away that was first noticed when the object projected a light to the ground level, according to testimony in Case 61695.
The events unfolded beginning about 6:55 p.m. on November 25, 2014, when the witness went outside with a flashlight to check a nearby creek level as there were flood warnings in the area.
"It was very quiet with the sounds of the creek water coming to me," the witness stated. "Looking south I was moving my flashlight from side-to-side, trying to see the water on the fields more clearly when suddenly a very bright light from the southwesterly sky was upon me."
The witness was suddenly bathed in white light.
"I could see the colors of my jacket and shirt, even my own right hand holding the flash light out in front of me."
The witness looked up to see where the source of the light was coming from.
"In a field about 1,500 feet away from where I was, below the clouds, hovering in the air soundlessly, was a round object with the bottom pointing toward me so it appeared elliptical."
