On 29 May, UFO specialised website MUFON.com received an anonymous report about an unidentified flying object which “looked like a star moving towards the Big Dipper”.

“I was sitting on my balcony looking at the stars”, says the witness,” [when] I saw what looked like a star moving towards the Big Dipper moving in a northerly direction”, he relates.

This person also adds that he “watched it move for about half a minute then it went out of view” from his position.

“I thought it might have been a satellite but [I] have seen many satellites and they don't change direction like that or vanish from where there were and end up where they started”, he commented. “I have seen this same object a couple of weeks ago and it appeared in the same place (like out of nowhere in the middle of the sky)”, he stated.

Long Description of Sighting Report

At 1:50am on May-29-2016 I was sitting on my balcony looking at the stars and from the south maybe about the distance of two big dipper lengths away from the big dipper(big dipper was almost straight above me) I saw what looked like a star moving towards the big dipper moving in a northerly direction . I grabbed my binoculars (which were beside me) to see if I could get a closer look and couldn't find it(maybe 2-3 second past)so again looked up without them and saw that the object was back where it started and was now moving in and east direction . I watched it move for about half a minute then it went out of view from my position. I thought it might have been a satellite but, have seen many satellites and they don't change direction like that or vanish from where there were and end up where they started. It was shining like a star and about the same size but was moving slow at first but, when it started east then picked up speed. I have seen this same object a couple of weeks ago and it appeared in the same place(like out of nowhere in the middle of the sky) but that night I watch it head north the vanish to only appear again where it started and move in a north west direction that night. There were no flashing lights but it looked like it was as high up as the stars(well was the size of them). The object or objects came from the same area both times so I have no idea what it was.
