UFO: Bright Light Spotted From the Horizons of Nova Scotia, Canada

Perhaps, there is nothing as beautiful and romantic as stargazing while cuddled up in a hot tub. That is, until you spot a UFO.

A couple in Porters Lake, Nova Scotia recently had a live encounter with a bright flying light in the sky, bigger than a satellite or a star. The incident took place on August 8, 2016 at 11.20 p.m.

“My girlfriend and I were sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars,” the reporting witness stated. “We have a pretty good view of the flight paths of the planes that fly over to the local airport and the ones that head across the ocean.”

The witness and his girlfriend had had various encounters with satellites and planes at many different altitudes over the past years, but this was different.

“This night the sky was clear and the Milky Way slightly visible,” the witness stated. “When we first spotted the UFO it was approaching from the northwest west horizon. It had the setting sun and the thin crescent moon, which had both set, behind it. So we were both surprised that it was such a bright spot in the sky.”

The witness noted that the object was brighter than any satellite he had seen and bigger than any star.

“As it approached us and got more overhead I noticed that it was making a large slow arc towards the east. It did not lose any of its brightness until it was almost above the horizon to the east. It did not seem to drop towards the horizon like a plane does when it flies out of sight.”

“Shortly after we lost sight of it, there started lightning flashes in the direction that it disappeared. We did not hear any thunder or see any clouds the whole time we were outside,” the witness added.

A report was filed with MUFON on August 9, 2016.

Investigations are still ongoing.
