Shawn and Camila announced a second collaboration earlier this week, a track called "Señorita." But what got fans more freaked out wasn't exactly the song. According to a report on Cosmopolitan, fans went gaga over a sneak peak of the music video which had accompanied the announcement. The short clip showed the pair nearly kissing in a steamy, extremely close scene.

"Señorita" is now out, and needless to say fans are all about the sexy track. And as expected, the music video includes the pair fully cosy and coupled up. So what? Of course, everyone wants to know if Shawn and Camila are dating.

Amazingly, the insane amount of sexual chemistry between Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello in the new music video for their new song “Señorita” is so obvious even to the blind, so much so that their fans are currently going crazy speculating whether for not they are dating.

The video does portray them as being in-love with each other. The appropriate sexy hotel-room situation, steamy dance scene, another moment where Shawn picks Camila up and shoves her against the wall in a very sensual manner; what else does one need as evidence.

With both toning vocals and a Spanish guitar-led rhythm, the track, as anticipated, is another summer bop — ensuing the likes of “If I Can’t Have You” and “Havana” — in the form of a ballad.

Singing “I love it when you call me señorita,” in the video, bartender Camila and biker Shawn introduce fans to their whirlwind summer passion, spurred by a chance meeting and complete with a healthy amount of loving salsa dancing and grief.

The entire concept of the video, matching up with the song’s illuminating lyrics, has left fans with plenty of intense responses. “Jesus Christ has left the chat,” one user remarked about the music video. But there’s a certain line — “You say we're just friends / But friends don't know the way you taste, la-la-la.” — that takes the cake, making fans wonder if the BFFs could actually be dating.

“Did Camila and Shawn declare they’re together at midnight or is it just my imaginations” one fan wondered after hearing the song, another resorting to just sharing a meme.

Shawn and Camila have previously said there was no string attached to their friendship, but there are lots of social media users who aren’t so convinced.

A fan joked that their vigour in the video made it seem like they were planning to raise kids in Havana.

“If Shawn and Camila are just friends, I and my boyfriend are such strangers,” commented another fan in the of the YouTube video.

Nevertheless, it’s just a music video, so they are probably just hamming it up for the cameras to make people freak out and watch, and that is still okay, whatever rocks their boat.
