A Virginia witness reports watching a "dark, butterfly-shaped" main object with a "lighter, chevron-like inner shape" with seven lights move overhead, according to June 28, 2012, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was sitting in a car on June 25, 2012, when an odd sound was heard.

"I heard a 'tshhhhhhh' kind of noise," the witness stated. "When I looked up toward the sky there was what I originally thought to be an airplane flying really low. When my eyes adjusted to the dark I noticed it wasn't an airplane. I had scrambled for my phone to take a picture, but when I looked up and blinked it was there for a split second, then blinked out like it was never there to begin with."

The witness said the object was low enough to see details.

"The craft/object was far down enough that I could see what looked like to be windows on the side of a stubby, butterfly-shaped thing. There were seven main lights on the bottom of the object and several smaller lights on the sides. What would have been the wings of the butterfly shape were dark, almost black. The v-shaped middle piece was a light, almost silver color, and what I interpreted as a door, shaped like a triangle at the inside of the V."
