(NC) — While huddling inside this winter to stay warm, try a cozy comfort food classic to bring the family together for a meal they will remember in the chilly days to come. Using the best quality tomatoes, the meatloaf recipe below is deliciously moist and rich in flavour. Home-Sweet-Home Meatloaf Serves: 6 Time: Hands On: 1 hour 10 minutes Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes Ingredients: No-Stick Cooking Spray 1 can (213 ml) Hunt's Original Tomato Sauce 2 tbsp firmly packed dark brown sugar 1 lb (500 g) ground sirloin beef 1 can (14.5 oz each) Hunt's Sweet Onion Chunky Tomatoes, drained 1 cup dry unseasoned bread crumbs 2 eggs, lightly beaten Directions: Preheat oven to 400°F/204°C. Line shallow baking pan with aluminum foil; spray foil with cooking spray. Set aside. Mix tomato sauce and sugar in small bowl; set aside. Combine meat, diced tomatoes, bread crumbs and eggs; shape into a loaf in prepared pan. Bake 30 minutes. Remove from oven; pour tomato sauce mixture over meatloaf. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F/177°C. Bake an additional 25 to 30 minutes, or until meatloaf is no longer pink in centre (160°F)/ (71°C). Let stand 10 minutes before cutting into 6 slices to serve.
