Double dates could enhance your relationship

Double dates? Anyone? Forget about the candlelit dinners for just the two of you, studies show that Double Dates could be the new aphrodisiac that you need for your relationship. According to a study at the University of Maryland School of Social Work, researchers, Kathleen Holtz Deal and Geoffrey L. Greif found that couples who are friends with other couples find each other more attractive and have stronger relationships.

Does this mean that you should incorporate some time with other couples in your dates? Absolutely! The benefits of double dates may not be that obvious, especially since group outings are deemed as less intimate than a one-on-one date, but the fruits with regards to the study are many. As a couple grows in a relationship, they tend to stop “keeping up appearances”, they don’t see the need of bringing up their ”A game” since they have decided to love each other for better or for worse. Unfortunately, a number of times this acceptance will grow into apathy or indifference. Not only do double dates give a couple a peek into another couple’s relationship, but also gives each partner a chance to appreciate the other more. They tend to see their partner’s desirability through the eyes of other people, and this helps them appreciate each other more.

Aphrodisiacs come in all forms for different couples and different persons. For some, it may be drugs or food while for others its objects such as sex toys. Different cultures, persons, and countries have aphrodisiacs that they swear by, however, there are a common few that you will encounter on your search for aphrodisiacs. Oysters seem to top any list of aphrodisiac foods, Casanova, the king of seduction recommended it, a team of Italian and US researchers found that a group of shellfish(oysters, clams, and mussels) were rich in rare amino acids which triggered an increase in sex hormone levels.

Strawberries seem to grace every romantic scene in movies where romantic food is served. The numerous tiny seeds in strawberries symbolize fertility, and since they contain more vitamin C than any other berry as well as a good amount of folic acid, potassium, fiber and iron, once consumed, essential minerals and vitamins that are needed to supply energy to the body are provided, the result is your fire will keep burning. Chocolate, another favorite is known to increase Phenylethyalanine and serotonin levels in the brain. Serotonin if a happy chemical while Phenylethyalanine is a stimulant that is similar to the body’s own adrenaline and dopamine.

Honey is rich in amino acid and vitamin B that help in boosting stamina and energy. Avocado, when halved is similar to the female genitalia, however, the Aztec name for avocados literally translates to testicle and it is especially good for boosting energy and stamina.
