The experience of Betty and Barney Hill is considered one of the most famous cases of alien abduction in history.

The American couple is said to have been driving on a highway in New Hampshire when they were intercepted by a strange “oval-shaped” object that descended from the sky. They claimed they saw a group of humanoid beings getting off the craft, blocking their way. The next thing they remembered was they were again in their house.

More than 55 years after the incident, Ms Kathleen Marden, their niece, has revealed new details about her relatives’ encounter.

In an article published in September 2017 on British online newspaper The Express, Ms Marden said she believes “the experience was real”.

“I did analysis of Betty and Barney’s statement when they were on the [alien] craft, being taken and then released. My analysis is that the experience was real”, she stated. “The scientists who investigated the case said Betty and Barney were honest and mentally healthy. They were upstanding members of their community”, she added.

The 69-year-old woman and also UFO researcher explained that the Hills told her the object they saw was “a disc shaped craft with eight to ten individuals”. These entities were allegedly wearing “black shiny uniforms”.

“Barney was taken into one room and I was taken into another. The one who did the testing we called The Examiner”, said Betty Hill a few years before her passing away in 2004. “First they put me on a stool and they checked my eyes, ears, nose, and throat. They put me on a table, and said they wanted to check my nervous system. Then they tried to insert a needle-like instrument in my navel which caused pain so they stopped doing it”, she described.

The alleged abductee affirmed that the alien beings said to her they were from a stellar system called Zeta Reticuli, and reportedly showed her a map. “

“I said: ‘I know you’re not from this planet but where are you from?’ He [the alien] showed me a star map indicating where he came from “, she asserted.

In reference to this situation, Ms Marden remarked: “I only want the truth. And I want to separate fact from fiction because a lot of fiction has been built around what happened to Betty and Barney”.
