A couple of weeks ago, on 05 February, a very unusual event was witnessed in the small city of Ajax, Ontario.

According to an anonymous report published on Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) online database, “an orange orb” was seen hovering in the sky over the Canadian town.

“Last night [05 February], at about 07:35 PM, I was looking south, out in my patio door, when I saw a large orange orb slowly approaching from the south-southwest”, the witness stated. “This area is in the flight path from Toronto's Pearson Airport, which is about 35 kilometres west of Ajax, and I am very familiar with the air traffic in the area, which typically moves west to east (takeoff) or vice versa (landing)”, he explained.

The author of the report also gave details about the craft’s features: “there were no flashing navigation lights, and the object was about the size of a penny held at arm’s length with its luminosity remaining bright but constant throughout the sighting”, he affirmed. He added that it was hovering “at an altitude of about 500 to 1,000 feet”.

“I brought the object to my wife’s attention and we watched as it slightly changed direction and proceeded to fly at about the same altitude and speed, following the lake shore, moving west to east”, the Canadian citizen expressed. “I asked my wife for her cellphone so I could take pictures, and by the time she had given me the phone the object had moved west, about a kilometre or two along the shore line until it disappeared beyond my line of sight at 07:43 PM”, he asserted.

However, after seeing the pictures, the Ontario resident realised that the bright orb could actually have been two objects. “When I first viewed the object, it appeared to be a single object, but upon viewing the pictures it was seemingly two bright disc-like objects side by side with pillars of light extending upwards, similar to the shape of Christmas trees”, he said.

Finally, he regretted that the cellphone he used to take pictures “does not currently have the facility to send photos” of the sighting.
