Montréal's Pinkarnaval: A Gaultier-inspired fashion and dance extravaganza

The heart of Montreal transforms into a gigantic catwalk of moving art as the Carnaval Arts Parade kicks off the 29th edition of the Street Arts portion of the Just For Laughs Festival, this year paying homage to world-renowned fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier.

The universe of designer Jean Paul Gaultier is the inspiration for each of the scenarios of this parade, choreographed by eight of Quebec’s best choreographers and performed by hundreds of citizens from several of Montreal’s boroughs. Lyon, world-renowned city for its own dance parade, presented the opening tableau.
