If I could share with you 10 easy steps to help extend your life and the quality of your life would you follow them? Here are ten ways to help you live your life well into your 90's. Implement each one on a daily basis for best results, not just when you feel like it or have time to do it. Health and well being are a huge part of living a long, happy, and healthy life. There is no time like the present to get started.

1. Anti Aging Tip #1 - Diet and Nutrition. This is the number one weapon in your arsenal against aging. Having a healthy diet, full of vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and protein will provide you with the energy you need to get through your day. Be sure not to skip meals or subscribe to any silly Hollywood diets that have you only eating egg white for every meal. Remember that you are what you eat....make sure you are not fast, cheap, and easy.

2. Anti Aging Tip #2 - Breathe. Just as the yogis in India have done for centuries during their meditations, the focus on their breathing. Focused breathing is a great way to calm the body and remove stress. It is simple and easy to do. By focusing on your breathing patterns (just like in a lamaz class) you will begin to focus less on what is happening around you.

3. Anti Aging Tip #3 - Drink Your Weight in Water - Well, not really you weight, but as close as possible to it. Water is the most abundant resource on the planet. Ninety percent of the earth is made of it, and over 75% of our bodies are made of it. Therefore, it is important that our bodies not run out of it. By drinking more water than is actually needed to stay alive, you are providing hydration to your body which is so extremely good for it and beneficial. Being properly hydrated can help with sleep, the immune system, stress, depression, and many other things that are not normally associated with water. So, drink up!

4. Anti Aging Tip #4 - Get Moving. An active lifestyle will extend your life and make it more enjoyable. Moving is one of the best ways to make sure you continue moving. Not only does it help you burn calories and stay in shape, but moving keeps your muscles in shape so you can continue using them for years to come. Sitting at a desk or lying on the sofa all day does nothing for your muscles. The stronger your muscles are the longer they will last and keep you moving around with ease.

5. Anti Aging Tip #5 - Strength Train the Muscles. Many people do not realize it but having strong muscles does more for our bodies than simple anhance our physique. For women, strength training helps improve bone density, reducing the risk of osteoperosis deteriorating the bones in the future. Having strong muscles also helps with childbearing and childrearing. You will have the muscles to easily carry a baby for months 7, 8, and 9 during a pregnancy, which are the most physically taxing months on a woman, due to the size of the baby. Strength training will also release endorphins helping reduce the risk of post pardon depression. It also helps give you energy to keep up with active children as they progress into the toddler years.

For men strength training helps decrease the possibility of energy, especially hypertension, puller or strained muscles, and injured backs. Even simple household chores may become dramatically easier since strength training gives you additional stamina and energy to complete tasks.

For both men and women, strength training helps reduce body fat and BMI, as well as give you a better quality of life as you age. Muscles that have been properly trained will last longer and will provide strength and stability long into retirement.

6. Anti Aging Tip #6 - The Power of Touch. Being touched does a lot for the body, both mentally and physically. Children who are not touched often when young develop future affection issues and may have body image problems and/or eating disorders. Massages are great ways to experience the power of touch. Energy being passed from one body to another has many healing and cleansing properties.

7. Anti Aging Tip #7 - Don't Live in the Past Or the Future. Reduce stress by living care free and in the moment. Reminiscing about the past from time to time or planning for the future occasionally is great, but studies show the best way to reduce stress, and live a calm life is to take life one day at a time. Stress is one of the major aging factors, causing the body unfelt physical harm and even permanent damage. Carpe Diem.

8. Anti Aging Tip #8 - Give Your Brain the Day Off. Every once in a while do for your brain what you do for yourself - give it a vacation. Well, the mental portion of your brain. Spend a few moments in meditation, try not to think about stressors, be at peace. This process will send natural chemicals into your body which will rejuvenate you make you feel good and happy and promote healing internally.

9. Anti Aging Tip #9 - Lend a Helping Hand. Longevity experts agree that being social, staying active, and giving of your time and expertise to help others is critical to staying youthful. Be involved in as many groups, classes, and activities as possible. This is good for your brain (to keep it active) and you overall well being.

10. Anti Aging Tip #10 - Think Young and Positive. If you think you can or you think you can't - you're right! Our thoughts dictate our lives. If you believe you cannot do something that you cannot. Never mind whether you actually can. If you are against yourself then there is no need to try. That is the power our minds have over our bodies. Use this to your advantage. Think young thoughts. Think happy thoughts. If you cannot then force yourself. This step goes hand in hand with meditation. The brain is one of the biggest anti aging factors, if used properly. Learn to harness your thoughts.
