Alberta: Greyhound Canada boosts Holiday Passenger and Shipping Services
EDMONTON - Greyhound Canada today announced it has signed an interline agreement with Northern Express Bus Service, providing daily passenger service between High Level and Edmonton, stopping at Greyhound Courier Express (GCX) locations including High Level, Peace River, High Prairie, Slave Lake and Edmonton. This partnership will provide communities along these routes with enhanced transportation options just in time for the holiday travel season.
Passengers can book their entire trip on www.greyhound.ca. The interline agreement follows the recent modernization of intercity bus service in Alberta. "Our strong network of agency locations throughout Alberta allows us to align with other carriers and provide ticket sales and points for passenger pick-up and drop-off," said Stephen Hutchings, director of western passenger operations.
Additionally, GCX continues to offer its shipping services within the province of Alberta including the communities who have experienced discontinued bus service. GCX, a division of Greyhound Canada, now has more options for customers to choose from, such as later pick-up times and earlier delivery times. In some markets, shipments will be delivered one day earlier than currently offered.
"These changes are occurring at a great time as the holiday season is very busy for both our commercial and individual shippers," said Dave Phillips, vice president, GCX. "GCX provides a fast, economical way to ship time-sensitive shipments, and we're committed to providing the quality, expedited service our customers have come to depend on," Phillips continued.
