Nova Scotia: ContractMe.ca connects contractors and consultants

HALIFAX (WireService.ca)  -- ContractMe.ca welcomed its 100th member on March 7, just 5 weeks after launching on January 31. The new online database is growing in leaps and bounds, and Nova Scotia businesses are taking notice.

ContractMe.ca is an online resource that connects Nova Scotia contractors and consultants with the businesses, non-profits and government agencies that need to outsource on a contract basis. Its purpose is to promote local talent in the region so that contracts are awarded to qualified business people right here in the area.

According to ContractMe.ca president, Laurie Dolhan, “I am very happy to welcome Claire Gardam of Innovative Performance Solutions as our 100th member. Nova Scotia is very fortunate to have a healthy diversity of independent businesses offering smart, creative solutions to help organizations grow and compete in the larger marketplace. Tapping into those resources is an important part of our economic growth today and in the future, and I'm excited that we can provide that kind of opportunity.”

Businesses in Nova Scotia have already started hiring ContractMe.ca members through their online job posting platform. Cathy Cornelius, local entrepreneur and owner of Coral Business Communications, expressed her happiness with the service on Twitter, saying: “Received some great quotes from posting my job requirements on @contractme.” Four contract job postings are currently listed and open for application on the site.

In addition to making it easier to find contract jobs in the area, members are already experiencing other benefits of their ContractMe.ca online profile listings. Member Mary Jane Copps, The Phone Lady, documented on Twitter that her Google analytics reports are already showing traffic referrals from the site.

All of this in five weeks shows great promise for the new Nova Scotia business. To find out more about contracting locally through the online database, visit: http://www.ContractMe.ca.
