Toronto shooting manifests from Harper's policies and NAFTA

As we Canadians become more assimilated into an "American way of doing things", the kind of gun violence Torontonians witnessed in Scarborough promises to become more commonplace. 

The policies of the Stephen Harper government to cut down social programmes and to Americanize our approach to crime is manifesting is a culture of violence that Americans know too well. 

As Torontonians, if we want to become once more "Toronto the Good" we must reverse the course of the impairing of our national sovereignty as Canadians.  This destructive process undermines our ability to foster a high quality-of-life in our cities. 

As economic disparity worsens under NAFTA, so will gun violence.
