Even as Washington has warned Russia, which has been tightening its military grip on the Crimean peninsula, that any moves to annex Crimea, now  in Ukraine, would close the door to diplomacy,  Hawkish Israeli leader Netanyahu said Israel would give up "some settlements" in occupied Palestinian territories to help secure a peace agreement but would limit as much as he could the number of enclaves removed.

The illegal Jewish settlements being deliberately proliferated inside Palestinian territories by the occupying Zionist forces are a key issue in peace talks renewed under Washington's tutelage in July after a three-year impasse.

The settlements built in territory captured by Israel in the 1967 Middle East War are deemed illegal in international law and condemned by most governments.

Israeli expansionist policy in Palestine is central to Zionist fascism by increasing the illegal colonies for the Israeli Jews to settle down in Palestine directly controlling the besieged Palestinians, thereby making a credible resolution of the Mideast crisis more and more difficult.

Earlier, in May 2011 Netanyahu said for the first time he was prepared to give up settlements for peace though Palestinians at the time rejected other terms Israel had set for then stalled negotiations. Netanyahu's comments were his first in Hebrew to an expressly Israeli audience suggesting he would concede settlements for peace. Netanyahu also made a similar commitment in English in a 2011 speech to the US Congress of Republicans and Democrats. .

However, Netanyahu, being a usual Zionist criminal fanatic, keeps shifting his  position to  appease the Jews who want to kill all Palestins with  the help of USA and many Arab nations like Egypt, do not want any peace with Palestine at all.

They were recorded during a five-day visit to the United States from which Kerry returned on Friday and which included talks at the White House with U.S. President Barack Obama on Monday about the issues delaying a peace deal. Obama has been critical of Jewish construction in the settlements, including calling for a freeze in 2009.

Palestinians say settlements that dot much of the West Bank landscape would bar them from establishing a contiguous independent state alongside Israel, a goal of peace talks.

Since the  notorious UNSC led by USA-UK terror twins has protected the Zionist crimes in Palestine, genocides and  expansionism inclusive, Israeli leadership actually  does not consider   the necessity of freezing and ending  its illegal settlements  and ignore the  UN and international law

Despite the peace negotiations, Israel has intensified construction in the past year. Central Bureau of Statistics figures released on Monday showed the number of new construction projects in the settlements doubled to 2,534 in 2013, from 1,133 in 2012.

The settlements are a key issue in peace talks renewed under Washington's tutelage in July after a three-year impasse. Little progress has been reported though US Secretary of State John Kerry has said he hopes to publish a framework for a deal soon.

The latest statement by Netanyahu expressing his willingness to give up "some settlements" in occupied Palestinian territories could definitely be viewed as a positive step from their part.

However, mere rhetoric alone does not resolve the world’s longest conflict in Mideast, especially when Israel is known for changing its position on the issue, essentially to terrorize the Palestine masses- especially when Israel is keen to make full use of all emerging world crises in prolonging its illegal and brutal occupation.
